My talk page policy...

  1. Please Feel free to add comments and please click this edit link to do so. I value all feedback.
  2. Discussions are archived every 20 inactive topics. If you wish to revive an old topic of discussion, copy the entire text of that topic (including any WikiSyntax) and put it at the bottom by following the edit link above.
  3. I will usually reply on your talk page (if such action is required) and will leave a note here in summary of points made. If a discussion is getting long (more than one or two questions or statements) then I may just post replies here.
  4. Your comment's wording will not be edited but layout may do. I may however change the headings to increase the ease of navigation.
  5. Vandalism will always be reverted however a note will be placed at the bottom and a link (to show the changes made) put.
  6. Any profanity, vulgarity or other harmful text will be editted out immediately using the <vulgarity /> tag or, in extreme cases, it deleted and a link put to the version with the harmful text included.
  7. If you have come here to ask me about doing adminly things then consider going to the administrators' notice board instead.
  8. If you feel strongly that any of my actions were wrong then please revert them, rather than asking me too. I'm happy to explain my rationale but if you feel strongly enough then the revert should be in your name.

Please sign and date comments using 4 tildes (~~~~). If you do not, I will for you using the edit history and will leave a message on your talk page saying "Always sign and date talk page entries". Thank you for listening.

Bulby and Furby

Why does the Furby information need to be in the Bulbasaur article at all? That's several degrees of separation away from Bulbasaur... that 6 years ago, in one country, a whole slew of toys that happened to include Bulbasaur was the most popular? I really don't think that that needs to be in there, and certainly not in the lead. If people need to see why Bulbasaur is connected to the real world, there's an excellent article, Pokémon, for that. Why do you feel that putting the Furby stuff in the Bulbasaur lead is so important? Matt Yeager (Talk?) 22:24, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A note from the Admin Coaching coordinator

Hello, coaches. As you can see, there is a significant backlog at the Esperanza Admin Coaching program. Since we do not want users to have to wait forever to get assigned, I'm asking all of you for a status report. If you feel that you are done, that your coachee is not active enough, or that you could handle the extra load from another coachee, please tell me in my talk page as soon as possible. Thanks! Hi - I thought I ought to try to pour some oil on troubled waters. I may be preaching to the choir, speaking to the Admin General of Esperanza, but please don't take the comments on WP:FAC personally. I understand your frustration in dealing with comments that seem driven by the subject matter of the article rather than its merits or demerits as an article, but you will be much better off in the long run (i) simply pointing out where objections are not actionable; (ii) dealing with any objections that are actionable; (iii) relying on Raul654 to notice that there is a lot of support - more so even than the previous couple of times - and not many actionable objections. Perhaps it will take another iteration of review and FAC to get there, but please try to stay calm - I know it is difficult, but you will only harm your own case if you lose your temper (or are seen to have done so). For what it is worth, based on other contributions, I think Tsavage is motivated by good intentions. -- ALoan (Talk) 17:46, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I considered coming here and saying almost the exact same thing as ALoan has written above, so I'll go ahead and say that I think his advice is very sound. :) -- Hinotori(talk)|(ctrb) 18:20, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I can't help feeling upset when he's so blatently lying, I'm afraid. --Celestianpower háblame 18:22, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, obviously, I disagree with the objections; the best way to counteract them is to explain why they are wrong. Please, please don't get stressed about this. It is not nice to have your work criticised, whether or not you agree with the criticism. Take a deep breath; go and do something else for a while. -- ALoan (Talk) 18:57, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I should add that the "mediocre, even crappy" was entirely uncalled for - I've seen mediocre articles, and this is not one of them - I note that it was carefully phrased in as "compelling, even brilliant" should NEVER equal "mediocre, even crappy" rather than actually saying that the article was crappy, although that implication was clear. -- ALoan (Talk) 21:03, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You may like to see the list of points that User:Tsavage has posted on my talk page. I have to say, some of them look quite good ideas. -- ALoan (Talk)

Sockpuppet

Hi. My name is Jared and I'd like to ask you a favor. I an not an admin, so I can't do it myself; User:Kalsermar and I have identified 3 people who seem to be sockpuppets of eachother. There is a lot of evidence for this, as noted on this page. Could you please step in and try to resolve this, (most likely by blocking the user names.) Thanks. --Jared [T]/[+] 21:50, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA

Thank you for your support in my request for adminship. I'm delighted that the RfA succeeded with a final consensus of 52/17/7, and receiving comments including having 'excellent potential to become a great moderator', and I am now an administrator. It did however only just pass, and I shall do my very best to rectify any of my errors, including the general belief that I should do more article work. If you have any concerns, or if you ever feel that I may be able to help you, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page. Again, thank you!

Admin coaching

Hi, sorry I haven't responded sooner. I've been totally focussed on 2006 Winter Olympics items. I could use any advice as to what my potential limitations are regarding if I were to be considered for an adminship. I know that one of the things is that I don't spend a huge amount of time on talk pages or things like AfD or other things like that. Ever since I started editing Olympics pages, I realized how inadequate they are and tend to just plug away at those sorts of things. I'd love any advice of where I could get more involved in things. Trading card game

Hi, thanks for letting me know about this. You make two points, firstly that "Trading Card Game" is a proper noun. Certainly you could argue for "Pokemon Trading Card Game", "Neopets Trading Card Game" or "YU-GI-OH! Trading Card Game" needing capitals, I think it's harder to argue for the =term on it's own. Similarly I have a copy of "The Hobbit, the Book of the Film", I would not talk about it as the Book (that's reserved for THHGTTG or holy books :). To a lesser extent the same applies, for example, to Pepy's, one could say "in his Diaries" or equally reasonably "in his diaries"
Your second point, whether is this a job for a bot, is simpler. The bot isn't mindlessly replacing all section headings with slightly lower case variants, it's currently only changing about 200 specific headings - like "Selected Filmography" to "Selected filmography". Of course there's always the risk that someone's written book called Selected Filmography, but that is within the bounds of acceptable risk, IMHO. Rich Farmbrough 16:57 8 March 2006 (UTC).

Yes, I would be happy to do that, probably tonight, maybe tomorrow. Rich Farmbrough 17:05 8 March 2006 (UTC).

illuminatus fac

hi, you commented that the one-pgraph "numerology" section could be removed. is it an objection to its content, or the fact it is one pgraph? cheers. Zzzzz 17:13, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - You may be losing the motivation to deal with this (I can understand it if you are) but I have tried to boil down the objections to the FAC as far as possible in a new summary section at the top. It seems that there are three:

  • References thought to be inadequate (not sufficiently authoritative; not giving sufficiently verification)
  • Elements thought to be missing (merchandise sales figures, design history and cultural impact)
  • Context thought to be insufficient

Without getting into another point/counterpoint, it seems to me:

  • You also can't produce "authoritative" references if they don't exist, and you can't do very much about the "authority" of the references that do exist: they are what they are, and either they do or they don't support what the article says.
  • You can't add information that is not available in a verifiable form, and I would guess that these elements simply are not available in a published form, so how can you add them in a way that can be verified?
  • The article can't explain each and every work, but I hope that a 90-year-old grandmother (who was motivated enough in the first place, and clicked through to the linked articles) would be able to work out what the article was saying. If not, a bit more explanation is required.

Just some thoughts... -- ALoan (Talk) 18:14, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Serial Comma

Does WP have a policy about it? I'm not going to revert the deletion of one from Illuminatus!! (I don't think I wrote that sentence), but I guess I'm one of those people who think the serial comma is sometimes appropriate; the sentence it was in seemed to be one of those. It stated: "The narrative often switches between third and first person perspectives, and jumps around in time." With the comma this indicates that the narrative switches between two perspectives and that it also jumps around in time (jumps being a verb). Without the comma it seems to me that it indicates that the narrative switches between three things: two narratives and jumps around in time (jumps being a noun). I don't know that that makes a big difference, but it does seem to make a difference. Incidentally, have you ever seen What Color Is Your Parachute? That author is a comma fiend as I recall.

As for the Numerology passage, I could take it or leave it (I did primarily write that one). Illuminatus does have 5, 17, and 23 sprinkled throughout starting from the first page, and there are a number of places where the numerology is discussed in far greater detail than it would be possible to cover in the article. Why did you think it should be removed, does it make the article too long, does it not explain it as well as it should, or is it simply unnecessary? Thanks. Шизомби 20:33, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for any consideration. Things settled a little bit and my upsetness simmered down to a mild case of dissapointment. I think I'll be ok. I wish I were good enough to have not gotten upset at all, but people let names and labels come between them and logic and normal procedure, and that just got under my skin. I'm sorry if I brought you into a difficult situation. -LambaJan 02:43, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats for getting Bulbasaur passed. FAC's are always tough, but that one was crazy hard. However, I'm offended by the notice on your userpage that "opposers can just rot". Telling me that I can rot because I thought the referencing was poor in the article you wrote (which is the same thing I tell dozens of people on WP:FAC) is gratutitously inflammatory. I expect better from someone with your reputation. —Spangineer[es] (háblame) 03:24, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the kind reply. I understand your frustration with people who think your work is poor and perhaps don't value it as much as you do, but I encourage you to assume good faith. Hi mate. I just plonked a very short ban on your school IP (30 minutes) for vandalism. Hi,

We started a proposal Wikipedia:Wikiethics to state the existing policies coherently and make suggestions on improving the editorial standards in Wiki. I thought you might be interested in contributing to that proposal.

Unfortunately, a pro-porn and pro-offense lobby is trying to make this proposal a failure. They unilaterally started an approval poll although almost no one including me believe that it is time for a vote, simply because the policy is not ready. It is not even written completely.

Editors who thinks that the policy needs to be improved rather than killed by an unfair poll at the beginning of the proposal, started another poll ('Do we really need a poll at this stage?') at the same time. The poll is vandalized for a while but it is stable now. A NO vote on this ('Do we really need a poll now?') poll will strengthen the position of the editors who are willing to improve the ethics policy further.

If you have concerns about the ethics and editorial standards in Wiki, please visit the page Wikipedia:Wikiethics with your suggestions on the policy. We have two subpages: Arguments and Sections. You might want to consider reviewing these pages as well...

Thanks in advance. Resid Gulerdem 00:13, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would love your help.

Hi CP,

I know you are interested in christianity, and I recently started a new wiki over at wikicities which is on the subject of christianity. Christian Knowledge Base is the site.

The goal is to have a knowledgebase on christianity from a distinctly "C(hristian)POV" rather than the NPOV. It is not meant to be a mere Christian Encyclopedia, but to foster a real sense of community. I'd like to include things like current events, news, stories, and anything that would add to both an understanding of Christianity, but also its enjoyment. I'm looking for help to build a resource that could really enrich the lives of Christians.

I know you are busy but I am actively seeking new sysops/admins to help me build this site up, and I would be positively thrilled if you could contribute in any capacity whatsoever. nsandwich 05:51, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Esperanza Newsletter, Issue #1

Reach out is a program aimed at allowing users to bring issues that they have had in Wikipedia to a listening, sympathetic and caring audience:
"No one can know how we feel if we do not say. We cannot expect to get understanding if we do not ask for it. No one will dispute that sometimes life's issues are too much for one person. It is fair to say that sometimes Wikipedia's problems fall under the same heading. This is a place where you can bring the bruises that can sometimes be got on this project for attention."
The Stress alerts program aims at identifying users who are stressed, alerting the community of thier stress and works in tandem with the Stressbusters at trying to identify causes of stress and eliminating them.
Note from the editor
Welcome to this new format of the Esperanza Newsletter, which came about during the last Advisory Council meeting - we hope you like it! The major changes are that each month, right after the Council meeting, this will be sent out and will include two featured programs and a sum up of the meeting. Also, it will be signed by all of the Advisory Council members, not just Celestianpower. Have an Esperanzial end of March, everyone!
  1. Future meetings are to be held monthly, not fortnightly as before.
  2. Bans and Access level changes (apart from autovoice) in the IRC channel are to be reported at the new log.
  3. In the IRC channel, there is going to be only one bot at a time.
  4. The charter requires members to have 150 edits and 2 weeks editing. Why this is the case will be clarified.
  5. A new Code of Conduct will be drafted by JoanneB and proposed to the Esperanza community.
  6. The NPA reform idea is to be dropped officially.
  7. Charter ammendments are to be discussed in future, not voted on.
  8. The Advisory Council is not going to be proposed to be expanded by the Advisory Council themselves, if others want to propose it, they will listen.
Signed...

Thank you for Skarmory

Hey Cel, thanks for helping via tidying up the Skarmory and Torchic article! I feel slightly better when someone doesn't wipe my editting or complain because it doesn't fit in the dot-to-dot guide. The main reason Skarmory was needing a lot of work was primarilly (that can't be you spell that) because I've been focusing more Torchic (I never want to see another plush toy again), as well as the portal, rather than Umbreon and Skarmory (which I both did work on tonight). Thanks again and keep you the great work, Highway 01:12, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Images and questions..

Hey.. again.. : P I am still working on Torchic, and I was thinking about adding a couple of pictures to improve the article. I was thinking that a picture of one of the plush toys and/or a screenshot of Torchic in [[Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire]. While I could manage to find/photograph a picture of Torchic in-game, and copy the copyright tags used from other in-game screenshots, I was not sure if I could upload a Hasbro product picture.

So, questions:

  1. If I was to upload a screenshot, could I use the normal tags (I was looking at the picture of the battle between Bulbasaur and Charmander in the Bulbasaur which you uploaded) ?
  2. Can I upload a Hasbro picture? If so, what tags would I use?
  3. Does uploading picture kill bandwidth/MB/etc, or is it just the same as uploading into a Photobucket?

Hope you can help me with my questions. Thanks much, Highway 14:40, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the advice, it did help. Couple of things though..
    1. .. What's an emulator? I'm guessing it's some form of program that plays the game or similar, where can you find one?

Vandalism from 62.171.194.0/26 range

You participated in a discussion concerning vandalism from the 62.171.194.0/26 IP range about 3 months ago (Dec 2005). An indefinite block of this range was discussed, and you reported that it was from your school and that a block would block you as well. The decision that was reached was that you would manage the block, and unblock for your own use when you needed to. Since then, vandalism from this range has started pretty heavily again. According to the block log, you seem to be refusing to keep the range blocked, and instead saying "Just revert the vandalism then". The entire reason for the block in the first place was that the vandalism was unmanageable, to the rate of dozens of pages of vandalism per day per IP. It is unacceptable for you to expect other editors to mop up the mess from the vandalism range just so that you don't have to keep unblocking and re-blocking the range. I would like to know why your position regarding this IP range has changed. -- Renesis13 16:17, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You wrote:

12 vandalisms per day? Oh no, how terrible. </sarcasm> Have you every been in the vandalism channel? About that much comes in every 2 minutes. 12 is a very small amount comparatively. Also, how much do I unblock, once every two days? It's reblocked pretty soon anyway so I don't really see much of an issue. I feel that something is being made of nothing here, impacting me in the process. Plus, I often revert vandalism to pages of my watchlist at school, when I see it. Probably a few a day. This, and any good article editing or commenting I do, surely cancels out 12 vandalisms each day? --Celestianpower háblame 17:11, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

So surely you're in support of not blocking any IP addresses at all? ("</sarcasm>") If you reread my comment I said dozens per day per IP address. So, several hundred per day—on an isolated, blockable IP range. It doesn't matter that the range gets blocked again "pretty soon"—you have the ability given to you to unblock IP addresses because it was determined that you would use the ability for the benefit of Wikipedia. Back when this was being discussed, all other editors felt an indefinite block was needed. You volunteered to unblock and reblock yourself, not to unblock and then wait for vandalism to occur, then wait longer for Curps to instate another 30 minute to 3 hour block. Back in December when I went through all 30+ IPs cleaning up the vandalism, there were several bad-faith subtle edits and other vandalizations that had gone totally unnoticed. I never had a problem with you unblocking temporarily during the time you would be editing. I only have a problem with you dropping the issue that was only resolved based on your agreement, and letting the flood of manageable vandalism come back in. -- Renesis13 17:23, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You wrote:

I see. Okay, I now understand you and see your point. Sorry for my uncivility. I don't really know what to do about it then - I suppose I'll have to not edit from school, how moronic. Whatever happened to that proposal to distinguish between IP edits and accounts - surely that would solve all of my problems. --Celestianpower háblame 17:28, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Are you able to unblock just when you need to edit and then reinstate the block? It seems like it was going pretty well for a while. About that proposal, it seems to me that it would be an obvious decision —registered users should always be allowed to edit (especially sys-ops!) unless they are specifically blocked, also. The proposal seems to still be active and I voted my strong support of it today. Also, I appreciate the apology and apologize if I came across as attacking. -- Renesis13 17:36, 29 March 2006 (UTC)== GA Trouble ==[reply]

Oh just great

Hey Cel, I'm in kind of a mix up, someone's shouted at me and I'm wanting a second opinion on whether I deserved it.

I recently added Torchic to the Good Article nomination page, and have judged a couple of articles while I was waiting for someone to rate Torchic. I've not had any trouble with my decisions (I've had three with no troubles) until I did the Queen (band) article today.

Although it's a good article, I did fail and gave it a thorough reason (I'm kinda over critical times), but I was fair and tried to stay objective. I wrote this: Talk:Queen (band)#Good Article Failure.

This evening I received a message from the nominee saying:

I don't buy your failure for one second. You judged it on intenstely high standards. Okay, so there were a couple of grammar usages you didn't like. That just means the article isn't ready to become Featured. The assertation that a few sentences that you felt could be improved mean that the article isn't good is ridiculous. Some of the complaints aren't even valid - why should I define terms such as "arena rock" and "glam rock" within the article? They have separate pages! That's what they're for! Adding defenitions would simply lower the quality of the article. The article is absolutely a good article - I'm putting it back up for nomination right now, and I ask you to not to judge it (or any other article nominated to become good) any more, because you do not seem to be clear on the difference between "good" and "Featured". TheImpossibleMan 19:49, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm kinda shaken up (I replied on his talk page saying): So just because you disagree with my decision you're telling me not to participate in the process again? I'm sorry but that is nothing short of personal attack! I would happily award the article good if you adapted it but this is not a good article status article! I have read Beatles article are of much a higher standard, I reccommend you read some of them before harassing other users! Highway 19:53, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Probably not the best of ideas, but I'm really mad.. and upset, though I know I shouldn't be. Could you reply back to what I should do, I'm feeling really bad. Thanks, Highway 20:02, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just received:

* I encourage you to actually read my statements before concluding that I'm harassing you and making personal attacks. At no point in my above statment did I disparage you personally. I simply did (and do) think that you're holding articles to far too high a standard.

Additionally, you may not realize this, but the Beatles are, by far, the highest maintained group on English Wikipedia. There are literally over a dozen Beatles-related articles that are Featured, and some (such as the Sgt. Pepper's article) are just short of being Featured. Even more, read articles like Something, then tell me that the Queen article isn't even good. TheImpossibleMan 20:01, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not replying until I know whether to keep going or to hide.. Highway 20:05, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for replying, I'm feeling better now, especially since Corbin just failed it again XD. I think the PA came from the telling me not to review anything, which felt pretty bad, but I will look into it. The guy could use some grammar usage tips though XD, Thanks Highway 22:10, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Apology accepted. Nothing wrong with deleting incorrect entries, just so long as people know they are incorrect. Unfortunately, as fast as some are deleted, they are replaced by other editors. I'd suggest that rather than just deleting the text, this is a case where commenting it out makes sense, with an explanation, as it signals to later editors they need not bother putting it back in. Image question.

Sorry to bother you on something so trivial, but you were the first username I saw. I asked someone to help me out and do something with a few pictures because I was having trouble doing it myself. The following two pictures, he says, look exactly the same (the way I wanted it), but it doesn't look that way on my computer, signifying that the upload didn't work properly. Could you just give me a quick yes/no as to whether the two pictures are the same?

Thanks a bunch! J@red03:32, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I know CP is sleeping right now, so I'm taking the liberty of answering. Yes they are the same, and I've had this problem before, make sure you do a hard refresh between uploads, otherwise the old image will dispaly, making you think you haven't done it correctly. I am currently underfire on this featured list candidacy with issues regarding copyrights.

I and other wikipedians recreated rank images that appeared on Star Trek listed at Starfleet ranks and insignia. The curent contravercy is weather or not should the recreation be considered a derivate work.

In my view simple geometric shapes (a circle or 4) cannot be copyrighted. And copyright concerns enter a grey are at best if not being examples of Copyright Paranoia.

I can understand if you prefer to stay away but I was wondering what do you thought regardless.

Esperanza Newsletter, Issue #2

The Barnstar Brigade is a new program aimed at giving more very deserving yet unappreciated users barnstars. It will officially start on 2006-04-09, but signing up is encouraged before this date:
"Here in Wikipedia, there are hundreds of wikipedians whose work and efforts go un-appreciated. One occasionally comes across editors who have thousands of good edits, but because they may not get around as much as others, their contributions and hard work often go un-noticed. Sadly, these editors often leave the project. As Esperanzians, we can help to make people feel appreciated, be it by some kind words or the awarding of a Barnstar. A project the size of Wikipedia has thousands of editors, so there are plenty of people out there who deserve recognition, one just has to find them. The object of this program is not to flood editors with Barnstars, but to seek out people who deserve them, and make them feel appreciated."
The Stress alerts program aims at identifying users who are stressed, alerting the community of thier stress and works in tandem with the Stressbusters at trying to identify causes of stress and eliminating them.

Thanks for your vote.

Hi, this is Matt Yeager. I wanted to thank you for your vote on my request for adminship. The count was something like was 14/20/5 when I decided to withdraw the request. My decision was based on the fact that there are enough things wasting people's time on the Internet that doomed RFA's shouldn't be kept up for voters to have to think about. Regardless of the rationale behind your vote, I hope you will read this note for an extended note and discussion on what will happen before I make another try at adminship (I didn't want to clog up your userpage with drivel that you might not be interested in reading). Thank you very, very much for your vote and your time and consideration of my credentials--regardless of whether you voted support, nuetral, or oppose. Happy editing! I thought it was good, but I never thought it would survive FAC.. I've not been here long enough to be able to combat everyone's opinions (there are a lot of Pokéhaters) and I'm hated by a lot of people. I'm sorry but you're just making a mockery out of this. You're pulling this all right out of context!
"That is why their wings are clipped, you see, to stop then flying." Fine, I am sorry I didn't look this up, but haven't you heard of poetic liscence? (Nintendo not me)
"aerial battler" It has the words "Rather Than" infront of it. This is referring to when it evolves, or changes, into a stronger form, and you might think it would evolve into like an eagle or something similar, but it doesn't. Which is why the sentence reads: "and as it evolves into its later forms, Combusken and Blaziken, claws slowly protrude from the ends of its wings, making it a vicious fighter, rather than an aerial battler."
"It has a sac deep within its stomach, in which churns a super-heated fire, allowing it to give literal warm hugs to its trainers. This power also serves as its ammunition in battles." Fine, I'm not sure about the grammar, but adding it on at the end just sound right.. It is obvious that it's referring to the fire..
" The drawing and sprite design of Torchic was created by Ken Sugimori's team for its 2003 release on the Nintendo Game Boy Advance" That was moved from the intro to there, if you could suggest a better place for it we would love your view on the matter. Personally, that sentence is important, primarily because Bulbasaur was said to have a lack of information on the "Making Of" side of Bulbasaur.
I'm not going on because you are just making a mockery of this article. And for the last time, I know that Torchic and Bulbasaur are loosely connected, but just because they are you shouldn't compare with "drag of an article" with the beloved turtle with a pot plant attatched to its spine! FAC is supposed to judge an article based on itself, not another.
Oh well.. I stil don't like him.. he was just taking the rip out of it.. should I cite Torchic being in Trozei, pinball etc? Highway Rainbow Sneakers 14:54, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Anime, which is the only time it speaks. The call thing is from the Pokédex. I actually just threw it together because I was reading the old Bulby noms and I found the list of basic questions the article should answer. And one was "How does it talk?" so I just put that together. The rest of that paragraph is also from questions from the old nom. The manga Pokémon Cham-Chamo Pretty is actually named after Torchic's Japanese call "Chamo".. apparently. Cheers, Highway Rainbow Sneakers 15:01, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
PS - What do I do about the design stuff? Highway Rainbow Sneakers 15:04, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've changed "flightless wings" to "weak wings" and I rewrote that paragraph to:
When Torchic communicates to other characters in the Pokémon anime, the only instance of Torchic actually speaking, it speaks by calling out in it's own unique language, which is comprised of the syllables "Tor" and "Chic".
It's still in the videogames section, which isn't the best place but I move it to the anime, that leaves a one sentence paragraph.. I'll look to see where I can shove the evolution thing and I'll move it down soon. And I'll move the design back up. Any other thoughts? Highway Rainbow Sneakers 15:19, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Or you know, you could do it XD Highway Rainbow Sneakers 15:20, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
