Ranina Reddy is an Indian playback singer, performer, composer and dancer.[1]
Career
Ranina Reddy has been a singer and performer from the age of 12. She turned to playback singing in 2008 only, performing the song "Kodaana Kodi" under Yuvan Shankar Raja's direction for Venkat Prabhu's comedy thriller Saroja,[2][3] and has since performed several songs, most notably for Harris Jayaraj.[4][5][6]
Concerts
Ranina is currently one of the most sought-after artistes all over India.[7]She has been critically acclaimed as a singer & performer from the age of 12. She has been the favourite performer for concerts hosted by the industry bigs such as IBM, ITC, GM, HCL, WIPRO, Aircel & so on. She has over 300 shows & live performances with artistes like Adnan Sami, Sukhwinder Singh, Raghu Dixit & others. She has also had the privilige of sharing the stage with actors like Urmilla Matondkar, Lara Dutta, Akshay Kumar etc. Ranina’s performances have even crossed the boundaries of India with performances in Singapore, Vietnam, Jaffna, Baticaloa & Colombo in Sri Lanka for many shows.
Playback singing
Though the stage has always been her forte and the driving factor, Ranina has also been making waves in the movie industry as a playback singer in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada & Konkkani for various renowned music composers Like Yuvan Shankar Raja, Harris Jayaraj, Devi sri Prasad, Sai Thaman, Selva Ganesh ,Raghu Dixit ,S.A.Rajkumar & few others.[8]

- This song impresses the listener during the first hear itself. Ranina’s voice is truly seductive and recalls the songs like Ondrai Irandai in Kaakka Khakka and Vaseegara in Minnale. Prakash Nikki has tried something new by roping in Ranina in place of Bombay Jayashree or Andrea as these kind of songs are generally sung by them. A perfect song, with no errors to identify. - A perfect kuthu number from Yuvan’s factory of music. The humming by the female singer in the prelude,interlude & postlude makes it even more catchy. Md.Aslam carries from where he left out in “Pon magal Vanthal” and the female singers do their job perfectly.[13]
Ol Olaala Ala Album : Orange Music: Harris Jayaraj
- The album starts off on a trendy note with “Ooola Oolaala…..Ala choosthe ne Chaala, Ila naa kallu ninne choosthundala, Chaala lovely ga…..Ilaa repavu gola, Madesilona surfing chesthondeela”.The second version vocalized by Ranina Reddy is a good addition to the song and helps build the youthful feel.
