Death of father
I refer to the entry for Alexandra Polizzi: "Polizzi comes from a long line of hoteliers, her grandfather being Lord Forte. Her mother, the hotel designer Olga Polizzi, is Lord Forte's daughter and the sister of Sir Rocco Forte. Her father was Count Alessandro Polizzi, an Italian marquess, who died in a 'racing-car accident' in 1980."
According to an interview with her mother in the Times on the 1 July 2007, he was not killed in a racing car accident. http://women.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/women/the_way_we_live/article1998994.ece
"Alex and her sister had been on summer holiday with him in Italy, and he left them at home while he went to the airport to collect some other children who were arriving. And then he had this car crash and was killed instantly." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lee lawrence (talk • contribs) 17:39, August 17, 2009 (UTC)

Her next career move was to work for Marco Pierre White at the Criterion, and then various Rocco Forte hotels around the world.
Olga specifically trained at hotels not related to her family, initially, so that she could never be accused of nepotism!
Before taking over and stamping their mark on the Endsleigh, Alex and Olga had already launched the highly praised Hotel Tresanton at St Mawes in Cornwall. [[1]]
