Hey there! I'm a student in Arkansas, and I run Mac OS X on a MacBook, and use Firefox and Camino, whichever I feel like at the moment. I'm pretty big into digital photography and video (using a Nikon D70s and a Sony Handycam) and digital editing. I have been studying German for over two years, and I also play the tenor saxophone, and have been playing for over five years. I'm a huge fan of the game Counter-Strike, which after nine years, is still amazing. I've only been playing for around four, though. My username was previously an homage to the game Halo: Combat Evolved, but now I prefer to tell people that, instead of Master Chief, it's Master Chef.

Wikipedia has changed so much since I first came - as perhaps most things do in eight years. Still, I cannot help but be amazed at how much of an impact something as "simple" as a free encyclopedia has had upon the world. Knowledge must be free, and I'm glad to see that Wikipedia has ensured that will always be the case.
I've been contributing to Wikipedia since early 2006, but always on unregistered IP addresses. I actually registered for an account in late 2006, and I worked in various places during spring of 2007. I took an editing break that summer due to a medical internship, and came back to the project significantly in late 2007. Recently, I've been focusing the majority of my work in areas pertaining to the TV show The Office.

I won't drop a retirement banner on this page, that's much too cliche. Even this stretches the boundary. I'll continue to visit - drop me a line if you'd like my help in something. I can't promise a prompt response, but I'll respond....sometime :)
My editing as of late can be described at best as being "sporadic". Due to classes as well as extracurricular activities, my activity in the project has dwindled. Although I love this project and its vision, I feel that my time must be put to better uses. I'll continue to edit when I have the time, and I hope to one day return to this project in a manner much similar to that of the past. Please don't hesitate to leave a message on my talk page, as I usually check my watchlist at least once or twice daily.

And I feel I must put in an obligatory word of inspiration - To whomever is reading this, please continue the work to make this project the amazing collection of information it is. Although some get caught up in the bureaucracy of adminship, recognition through the means of DYK, GA, FA, etc., and policy wars, this community that we have created is something like none other. A true global community that works together, well, generally together, to achieve a common goal is nothing short of amazing. Although people come, and people go, and edits and hard work eventually get buried in the bottomless pit that is an article's history, every positive action, no matter how minute, is worthwhile in an unimaginable way. Together, this text we weave together with infoboxes and images forms a work of art that can truly be admired.

While I was once very active, bordering perhaps upon too active upon Wikipedia, I no longer have the time nor the passion to contribute to the same degree. Still, my use of Wikipedia as a reference has remained consistent, and I find myself still fixing the odd typo every so often, in the hopes that I can continue to help.

I won't drop a retirement banner on this page, that's much too cliche. Even this stretches the boundary. I'll continue to visit - drop me a line if you'd like my help in something. I can't promise a prompt response, but I'll respond....sometime :)
