Sharon Shinn (born 1957) is an American Novelist of books that combine the genres of fantasy, science fiction and romance. She works as a journalist in St. Louis.

She has won the following awards:

William Crawford Award for Achievement in Fantasy
IAFA Fantasy Award (1996)
Dell Award for best new science fiction writer of 1995/1996
