== RFC/U for user Worldedixor problems ==

I started a discussion at [[Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Worldedixor]] to help address problems with this user. My Contributions

MEMOS TO SELF

  1. Learn about AWB.
  2. Broad Universe Wikipedia Project
  3. Articles with the {{copy edit}} tag on are different from requests. You did the right thing by removing the tag, and nothing else needs doing. By the way, requests are sections within Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests, not subpages of it, so a search like that would never work. You can see all requests (as opposed to tagged articles) by going to Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests and doing a text search. Hope this helps. --Stfg (talk) 09:55, 1 February 2014 (UTC) (source)[reply]
  4. The Core Contest is a thirty-day contest focusing on improving Wikipedia's most important and most viewed articles. Prizes in the form of electronic store vouchers will be awarded.
    The next running will be from 0.00 hrs UTC February 10 to 0.00 hrs UTC March 9 2014... so start your engines.
  5. Wikipedia:Tools#Finding_the_responsible_user
    • WikiBlame – searches for given text in versions of article
    • Soxred93's Article Blamer – similar to WikiBlame, identifies revisions that added given text
    • User:AmiDaniel/WhodunitQuery – Windows application that identifies the edit and user who added a specific word or phrase
  6. Fix lede of Cognate. See talk p. there. (14.02.25)

Suggestion for Copy editing

I suggest that you formally sign up for Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Backlog elimination drives/July 2013 and start entering articles chosen from the list there. You can see my work there. --DThomsen8 (talk) 00:57, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You are signed up for GOCE reviewing, and I fixed the formatting for that. You are not signed up for the drive itself, but you can do that, too.--DThomsen8 (talk) 19:54, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

review

I patrolled your page. I went through the enormously-backlogged list of newly-created pages and confirmed that your page was okay: not spam, not an attack page, not a copyright violation, not any of the other reasons for which I would delete someone's page without asking. Then I clicked "patrolled" to remove it from the list of "pages that have not yet been patrolled", and moved on to the next entry. That's all. DS (talk) 13:18, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

@DragonflySixtyseven: Thanks for the explanation and the patrolling. Thnidu (talk) 19:19, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

GOCE July 2013 barnstar

The Minor Barnstar
This barnstar is awarded for participation in the WP:GOCE July 2013 copy edit drive. Thank you for taking part! Diannaa (talk) 23:35, 5 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
@Diannaa: Oo! Oo! My first! I'm so excited! :-D No irony, no sarcasm here: I really am pleased. Thank you. --Thnidu (talk) 04:33, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Cognitive Sociolinguistics

Please help us out with Cognitive Sociolinguistics, which needs links from other articles, improvements on the references, and a general checkup by an expert. (Good to see you at the CHF!)

@Dthomsen8: Sure. Good to hear from you! But you left the above note unsigned, and I had to go to the History page to see who it was from. --Thnidu (talk) 01:04, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Do you know the answer to my queston? Venustar84 (talk) 06:10, 30 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to rephrase my question correctly: where is list the post-Ellen LGBT episodes ones listed past the year 2000 or more current because the episodes listed are old at this link: Lists_of_American_television_episodes_with_LGBT_themes Wikpedia used to have a link for them? What happened? Venustar84 (talk) 01:02, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Crab rangoons

Only users who activate the gadget is able to do that, and if you want to answer, answer tomorrow. Thanks. Cheers!-- Allied Rangoontalk 01:48, 9 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Crab rangoons: Couple things here...
  1. It would make more sense to keep the whole conversation in one place, not just for my benefit but for the benefit of others reading it (as I benefited from
  2. I can probably remember what you and I were talking about and where, because it was just last night, but you can't always count on that. See point 1.
  3. Read admin Yunshui's answer to you under User_talk:Jwoodward48wiki#Remove, and the comment I'm about to add there, and stop trying to close discussions on other people's talk pages.

Helvetica diacritic

Hi, back in april you reported a problem with a diacritic not displaying correctly in Helvetica. I have now received the following statement from Apple engineers: "We believe this issue has been addressed in the latest OS X Yosemite Developer Preview". I still need to test, but it's looking good, so thank you ! —TheDJ (talkcontribs) 09:37, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
