Cassavettes' script?

In October 1988, with his health failing, Cassavetes proposed turning the rights to the script [Casualties of War] over to [Sean] Penn and Seymour Cassel for a production to be directed by [acclaimed Mormon film director] Hal Ashby. The deal was never completed. (Carney, Cassavetes on Cassavetes, page 512). Is that the same film? 77.49.253.98 (talk) 08:12, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A "remake" of another movie?

In the DVD documentary, De Palma says there was another movie made about the same true story and that created a big controversy in Berlin ( a film by a German filmmaker) anyone knows what movie this was? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.235.178.229 (talk) 10:37, 8 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Probably the movie "O.k.", by Michael Verhoeven. Verhoeven is German, his film predates De Palma's, and is based on the same crime. 190.194.247.223 (talk) 02:52, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
