Talk:Muhammad

I reversed Muuneeb's changes to the talkpage where he put (S.A.W.) behind Muhammad's name in everyone elses comments. Why did you revert that to a state where most of the instances were still in place? I have re-reverted to the situation before Muuneeb made his alterations. Jarkeld (talk) 23:17, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You BOTH changed other user's comments. You changed Muuneeb's but then you added your own. Just click undo, don't make your own changes.Doctorx0079 (talk) 23:22, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As his sole contribution was to add (S.A.W.) to other peoples comments and to the FAQ I simply reverted all his changes. Please look at the diffs before accusing me of refractoring someone else's comments. Jarkeld (talk) 23:28, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's ok. It was confusing me too. --mboverload@ 23:41, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for undoing your refractoring of comments by 75.179.144.10 and HaterofIgnorance. Jarkeld (talk) 23:45, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Using undo is helpful to avoid this kind of confusion. -- Doctorx0079 (talk) 21:47, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey doc... I saw who Watt was later... I removed the post on the talk page as well shortly after detecting it.. Amartya ray2001 (talk) 23:21, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That's what he wrote:

Please review Talk:Muhammad/Archive 23 where this is discussed in several sections. Basically this is a problem of terminology. In the context of "Islam" meaning "Mohammedism", Muhammad is the founder, because there was no religion called "Islam" prior to Muhammad. In the literal meaning of "Islam" being "submission to God", Muslims would want everyone to believe that Allah is the founder of Islam, which would basically push a religious point of view in the article.

Personally I'd have no objection to calling Muhammad the "prophet" of Islam rather than the "founder". But strictly speaking, in English usage, "founder" is technically correct.

Did you read it? Kavas (talk) 00:14, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please answer my question do you think this is correct: In the context of "Islam" meaning "Mohammedism"? Kavas (talk) 00:21, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't really care that much. I don't pay attention to the article on Islam. In my opinion Islam is the religion of Muslims. The main book of Islam is the Quran. That's my view. I don't care that much where the Quran is supposed to come from. Muslims believe that the angel Gabriel told it to Muhammad, as far as I know. But I'm not an expert and I'm happy to leave that article to people who care more. - Doctorx0079 (talk) 00:32, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You can mention it at the Administrator's noticeboard (I forget the exact link). There's another page I think issues like this can be brought up. WesleyDodds (talk) 00:06, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Allies of World War II. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Eh, what? I deleted some junk that appeared to be vandalism. Guess I should have explained that in the edit summary. - Doctorx0079 (talk) 20:25, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies: you were right, I was wrong. Thanks for pointing out my mistake (but yep, you're right that you should have included something in the edit summary.) "This been a learning experience for both of us" (as people who have actually made mutually embarrassing mistakes say to each other to put a happy spin on things). --Shirt58 (talk) 10:47, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Shichimi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sansho (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Kōichi Mashimo may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
