Welcome. Please note that this page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.

Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions or rejected Articles for creation drafts), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied, restored as a draft or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided at all.

This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles or files which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions in the template or on your talk page. Please do not request that articles deleted under speedy deletion criteria A7 or G11 be undeleted here.

Note that requests for undeletion are not a replacement for deletion review. If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly. If you discuss but are unable to resolve the issue on their talk page, it should be raised at Wikipedia:Deletion review, rather than here.

Instructions for special cases

Hello! I only just now noticed that the image above was deleted back in September due to "F6: Non-free media file with no non-free use rationale (TW)". I'm in a position at the software's owning company to provide such fair-use for screenshots of the tool, and I'd like a screenshot to exist on the page to improve its quality. Can this be undeleted? 38.103.29.194 (talk) 19:41, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

phpPgAdmin

I would like to request that the revisions deleted per WP:PROD be undeleted only. The article is currently undergoing a separate WP:AFD for which these revisions may be useful, and the deleting admin is inactive. —Mdrnpndr (talk) 20:05, 25 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Mdrnpndr:  Done. Deleted history restored. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:55, 25 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@User:Anachronist: Thank you, but is there a reason you didn't restore the corresponding talk page history? There may be content of value there as well, considering how long the page had existed before its deletion... (And even if the page is deleted again, I don't want the talk page revisions to be "lost".) Mdrnpndr (talk) 14:11, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Mdrnpndr: Oversight on my part. Talk page history restored (there were only 5 deleted edits, though). ~Anachronist (talk) 17:25, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Meant to not publish publically, just use in sandbox, but use Wikipedia to format it and then save the source, it's a model U.N. debate with fake countries and I don't want to spend another 4 hours remaking it. Communists for Kerry

I would please like the mainspace-content-with-history and the talkpage-with-history, restored to draftspace (i.e. d:cfk and dt:cfk), or if that is not okay for whatever reason, then userfied. Material in question was a bluelink, recently deleted after an AfD that was correctly closed. I am working on related topic-matter, a 'parent-article' currently in draftspace, which contains a rewrite of the recently-deleted-CFK-content as a subsection. I would like to dig through the history-tab of the CFK page, and the CFK talkpage-history, to see if there are any RS which I am unaware of. Other context, might be relevant: I have discussed with the deleting-admin that closed the AfD, and they took no action but suggested I ask here at the WP:REFUND queue, as did a second admin similarly suggest whom I contacted via the relevant category. If this is not the place to request a post-AfD-draft-i-fication, I would ask someone please provide me a clue where to do so, thanks —47.222.203.135 (talk) 23:45, 26 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

FWIW, I didn't have time to give this the attention it deserves (and still don't), so directed the user here. If I mis-directed them, I apologize for the run-around. That wasn't my intention. -- RoySmith (talk) 17:34, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Tokyogirl79, this is quoting from the WP:REFUND talkpage-notice: "...[a]lternatively, you may instead request on this page that the article be userfied... such requests are usually approved here."
#1) I'm not asking for undeletion-to-mainspace, I'm asking for WP:USERFY-to-draftspace.
#2) I did already discuss with the deleting-admin, they told me specifically to make my request here at WP:REFUND, and this instruction was confirmed by a second admin who also said to ask here at WP:REFUND, specifically.
#3) I don't think that I 'want' WP:DELREV because I do not disagree with the AfD close. I want userfication/draftspace-i-fication, because I need the contrib-history of the CFK article, for a related but distinct article I'm working on, BLP of one of the people who was *involved* with CFK, back in 2004.
  • That being said, I'm happy for you to gently point me in the correct direction... maybe I really do want WP:DELREV? ...even though I agree the deletion was correct? ...and even though am merely seeking userfication rather than undeletion per se? Please help the poor anon who has never seen a 'formal' noticeboard-assisted refund, nor participated in a deletion-review-process, figure out what I 'really want' from the wiki-verse :-) 47.222.203.135 (talk) 12:12, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

First, it would've helped to show why you think it's better now and what there is to show in our policies; next, that article was considerably advert-formatted so it's unlikely his career has significantly improved to satisfy the standards and policies here. Next is the concern it was deleted twice before as advertising. SwisterTwister talk 04:12, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Blocked as a sock, the new page --Adam K. Afara content was a verbatim copy of the sockmaster's and there's a history of socking around this. —SpacemanSpiff 04:15, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Adam Afara, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user MBisanz (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review.. Also not done because it's a sockpuppet but if anyone did want to restore this then there's a templated message at the least. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:16, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Jumju: this has been restored and moved back to draft space, at Draft:Ancel Edwin. If kept in main space, the article would be quickly deleted because none of the cited sources support the notability of the subject. ~Anachronist (talk) 17:38, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Good afternoon. I demand recovery Article Andrey Smagin. This person is significant as a political activist. Sources in the article were. Please restore, I will modify the article and bring it to a normal state--VikiLaikeR199 (talk) 16:28, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@VikiLaikeR199: You "demand"? From volunteers?
Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Andrey Smagin, it cannot be undeleted through this process. I beg of you to retrieve article Andrey Smagin. Article Subject significant as a political figure. in the article were authoritative sources. I ask the administrators to restore an article on the condition that I will modify it, and bring to a normal state--VikiLaikeR199 (talk) 19:43, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Here is his page in instagram - [1]. His photographs show that he has a friendly relationship with famous politicians. it means that the article is not a hoax and so it must be restored--VikiLaikeR199 (talk) 19:51, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
My initial reply above explains why the article is ineligible for restoration by request on this page, and also explains exactly what you need to do. I suggest you ask the deleting administrator to consider restoring it to draft space, where you can work on it. And by the way, we can't use Instagram as a source, notability is not inherited by virtue of being seen with other famous people, and being "famous" is irrelevant to Wikipedia anyway. The criteria for inclusion are spelled out in Wikipedia:Notability, Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Politicians and judges, and you may also want to review WP:POLOUTCOMES. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:01, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ameri100

I have created Draft:Ameri100 and feel that the company is a notable one. I have referenced the information. I have no intention in making the article a promotional one as in case of the previous versions that have been deleted earlier. Ameri100 is currently locked and required admin involvement for the draft to be shifted to article mainspace. I request it to be done. —Anasuya.D (talk) 00:01, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I think you will need more than listings and acquisition news to demonstrate notability though. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 00:31, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. @Anasuya.D: please see WP:CORP for inclusion criteria. For a brief overview, see WP:Golden rule. I have moved some infobox content from the deleted promo version (which cited zero sources) to the draft article. This needs to go through the regular WP:AFC review process. Good luck. ~Anachronist (talk) 23:01, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I have left a note at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ameri Holdings. I was unaware of the issues. A friend works there and I had known the company to be a reputable and credible one. I understand that the mentioned references are not enough to establish 'notability' and possibly this establishes the credibility of the company. I admit that it would possibly have been a good idea to go through regular WP:AFC process and I was attempting just that but some new account suddenly moved it into mainspace. Done - as an Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored on request. Please edit the page to address any issues raised, and re-submit it; "Articles for creation" is not for the indefinite hosting of material found to be unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia.

Alpine Ascents International

Page has been written from scratch and is properly and sufficiently sourced.InfoDataMongerInfoDataMonger (talk) 16:43, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@InfoDataMonger: So where is the rewrite? I don't see it in draft space. The deleted article was deleted in 2008 for being unambiguously promotional. It's now 9 years later. If you want to replace it with a new version rewritten from scratch, go right ahead, nothing is stopping you. ~Anachronist (talk) 19:49, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Anachronist, It looks like he's referring to this section of his sandbox. In any case InfoDataMonger, I think that it still needs work as portions of the new version are sort of promotional. The section on Seven Summits is a little spammy reading and I don't see where there is any need for a controversy section, given that it doesn't really pertain to the company in any way that would be of interest to Wikipedia. It just says that there are people who abuse performing enhancing drugs and gives a bit of history of people who have used and don't use the drugs. The only part that actually pertains to the company is a statement that AAI forbids their use, requiring customers to sign forms saying that they won't. It's not really anything of interest to Wikipedia and would be considered WP:INDISCRIMINATE info. I also question the bibliography section, as Into Thin Air isn't about the company and as far as I can tell from the 1996 Mount Everest disaster article, the company is uninvolved other than the fact that they do tours of Mount Everest. I have to assume that the same thing goes for the other book listed in the bibliography section, especially as it was published before the company was founded. IDM, the bibliography section should only contain books that discuss the company in-depth and aren't just travel guide books that list every company that offers the same services. I also note that some of the sources are for books and other things that aren't actually about the company, but about things that are related to the company like the history of drug abuse and mountain climbing. These sources can't give the company notability and as stated above, there's no reason for this section in the article. I did a quick search for one of the sources and it looks like this source is actually a press release, which makes it a WP:PRIMARY source since it was written by a company who is sponsoring the company - meaning that they have a financial interest in promoting AAI. Press releases cannot show notability regardless of where it was posted or what they claim. I didn't look at the other sources, but there's enough here to where I think that this still needs a lot of work before it would be ready to be reconsidered for republishing. I must also ask this - do you have any sort of conflict of interest (WP:COI) with this article? The reason I'm asking is that the way the article is written gives off the strong impression that you do have a COI, as this is written similarly to other paid articles I've seen. You can edit with a COI, you just have to declare it, is all. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 17:08, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • It looks like you were warned last year and I don't see where you ever disclosed that per the poster's request. I also note that it looks like you created several other pages that were deleted at AfD and had issues with promotional language. You've been warned about the COI policy and you've seen fit to ignore this. I'm issuing you a short block and bringing this up at the COI noticeboard. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 17:14, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Looks like they've been doing this for a long time, so I'm giving you an indef with the possibility of an unblock but I'll still bring this up at COIN. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 17:25, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Looks like there's no need for a COIN post, as they were indef'd in the past for ignoring warnings and guidelines in the past over COPYVIO and were given a second chance with the explicit warning that they need to follow guidelines. Given that they're already aware that they need to follow guidelines and received one warning over policy, they've burned through their second chance. Teresa May

See User_talk:Sandstein#Teresa_May.  Please restore to draftspace. —Unscintillating (talk) 23:01, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm. The coverage isn't actually about her, it's about the Trump administration's spelling error to refer to the UK prime minister as "Teresa May". And... the deleted article already mentioned that, before it was deleted, and it was still deleted. Looks like a WP:1EVENT to me, in which Teresa May is a bystander in a minor event not directly related to her. I don't object to restoration as a draft, but I'll defer to another admin. ~Anachronist (talk) 23:11, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
We already have the article Teresa May. Looks like the same subject.
So maybe the best thing would be to do a history merge with the deleted Teresa May (actress). ~Anachronist (talk) 23:13, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
With the new article, I don't need the old article in draftspace.

However, as I understand the preferences expressed at the AfD, there is a preferred organization with a dab page.  Oldid 730911856 is the dab page that belongs at Teresa May.  The new article revision should be history merged at Teresa May (actress)Unscintillating (talk) 23:56, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Once again, events have moved ahead without the edit history being restored.  An admin here thought it would be a good idea to G4 the dab page, and while Sandstein disagreed with the G4, he reopened his interest in notability and started talking AfD.  It is our policy to WP:PRESERVE and fix the value that others have added to the encyclopedia.  I've gone ahead and used editorial authority to do a full merge of the article at Teresa May to Teresa May (actress), and I've restored the dab page.  Editors are still awaiting restoration of the edit history.  Unscintillating (talk) 14:50, 29 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Unscintillating: A history merge would have been terribly messy because the Teresa May (actress) article has over 400 edits going all the way back to 2005 (and I have just restored all that history). It wouldn't be useful to merge the short history of Teresa May into the middle of that. I agree with making it a dab page and leaving Teresa May (actress) with all its history in place.
I believe we can consider this  Done now, for what it's worth. ~Anachronist (talk) 05:25, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please follow the instructions on the deletion tag in order to contest (if a speedy deletion or prod/stickyprod) or argue against (if a deletion debate) deletion. This page is not for contesting reversions. I will note that as the subject is your client you should not be editing her article and you will need to disclose the relationship as per our Terms of Use. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 09:18, 29 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
User:Amalia.crawford, the content that you added, was 'reverted' (aka undone and removed from the article -- at least temporarily) which is different from 'deleting' it. The changes you made were removed, but can still be viewed in the following location, https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nikki_DuBose&action=history
So for instance, here is an edit where you attempted to change the photograph which depicts Nikki DuBose at the top of the article -- https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nikki_DuBose&diff=762501050&oldid=762498737
Eight minutes later, your change was undone (aka reverted) by User:Triptothecottage, with the following reason: "edits breaking syntax, unsourced, failing npov." That is not to say that your changes will never be allowed, User:Amalia.crawford, just that they were problematic, because they were breaking syntax (see WP:WIKIMARKUP), were unsourced (see WP:REFB), and were failing npov (aka not sufficiently neutral see WP:NPOV). You can see what happened in the 'view history' button at the top of the Nikki DuBose article, or you can look at the particular undo aka revert here -- https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nikki_DuBose&diff=762507311&oldid=762506470
As suggested by Jéské Couriano, above, please carefully read WP:PSCOI and also WP:TOU for wikipedia. Anybody can edit, and you are welcome to become a wikipedian, but you need to work really hard to stay neutral and also to suggest changes at Talk:Nikki_DuBose rather than just *changing things in the article when you are getting paid by the person the article is about*. That is rarely going to end up compliant with the WP:NPOV rules here, and everybody has to follow those rules, even -- especially -- people that are publicists. 47.222.203.135 (talk) 14:51, 29 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

In this case you should ask Anthony Appleyard to undelete World Development Foundation and change it back to a draft so that you can change it to stop it being an advertisement. Robyn L Ackland

The article was facts about a successful writer with 4 published books in both ebook and paperback. I don't understand how that isn't a acceptable topic when there is so many others just like it. There was no advertising in the article. The only thing close to it was links to her author pages for reference, if that is is the issues please remove the links. Thank You —ACkland07 (talk) 17:06, 31 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. If those advertising links had been removed, the article would have been deleted anyway as an unsourced biography of a living person. As such, it constituted advertising.
Based on your username, it seems that you are the subject of this article. Wikipedia:Autobiographies are strongly discouraged. Because you have a conflict of interest about the subject, you should write the article in Draft space (as in Draft:Robyn L. Ackland and you must submit your article for review via WP:AFC before it can be accepted for publication. ~Anachronist (talk) 01:18, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Good well-written article only deleted because it was created by a banned user —UserNumber (talk) 18:42, 31 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@UserNumber: I restored it. That article wasn't eligible for deletion by G5. It was created by a sockpuppet, but not in violation of any block or ban, as far as I can tell from the block log of the sockmaster. ~Anachronist (talk) 01:12, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Anachronist: Someone deleted it again. UserNumber (talk) 17:53, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It seems my assessment of the original WP:CSD#G5 deletion was incorrect; it did qualify. You would have to contact one of the deleting admins to request reconsideration, perhaps move the article to draft space so that it can be improved. If anyone makes a significant contribution to it, it would not be eligible for G5 deletion. ~Anachronist (talk) 19:21, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

And rigthly resistive according to policy, so Not done, as this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/1993 Murphy Cup playoffs, it cannot be undeleted through this process. User:Bubblefett

my reason is that it states in the wikipedia guidelines that a user may put whatever they want in thier talkpage/homepage, bu it can not be mall intented, my page had a few illuminati mentions, but i was on my way to clean it up after deciding someone may bann me for it, when my page got flagged. And mypage specifically doent promote lluminati or its ideals or iffiliates, i dont praise it whatso ever, and my unhelpfull edits o cabildo counsel and others, i was already punished for majorly, and i learned. so it is in goodwill that i nicely ask that the wise wikipedia admin please correct the flagging of my page. i worke for 4 hours straight hours so please consider a lesser punishment. like a 5 day user page ban at MAX. I really just want to inform people like other wikipedia users, and when i get to my page ill remove all disrespectfull content. —Bubblefett (talk) 16:41, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Bubblefett:  Not done. Not one single sentence on that page was appropriate for Wikipedia. You may not use Wikipedia as a web host, a social media platform, a means to promote your off-Wiki activities, an outlet for editorial commentary, and a number of other things. It isn't your personal web space. See Wikipedia:User pages for guidance.

@bubblefett: it doent matter its my page and that took a lot of work for the cript, i mean i needed it its nt a social media platform at all, i dont even have socia media, im 13, so im holding you responsible for my reconstruction of my page and it shall be held up by wikpedia law!!! at least give me suggestin on what to wirte about nuka-cola, and dont say dont put innpropriate things on it, give me real advice. im trying not to get mad at you DELETING all my work, and there were 4 innaprpriate MENTIONS of illuminati, im not praisinf it, just making a joke, and fun game cartoon characters are not "innapropriate for wikipedia" and they user bio is a place of FREE WRITING. it says in the rules, ther was no rasism, sexism, promogity, nudity,or any other sots of innapropriate behavior. so help me by giving e tips on how to make a wiki user page on nuka-cola, and i wont ever bother or do "inapropriate things" again. deal? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bubblefett (talkcontribs) 14:58, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Blac Youngsta

I am a new editor here, and I may not know a lot about Wikipedia, but after seeing that the article Blac Youngsta was deleted off here because of one deletion vote, it looks like it was an unfair decision that was done to the article, it should have ended as "no consensus" since there was literally one person (other than the nominator) that thought that the article should be deleted. This article should be given another chance, thank you. Bloomdoom2 (talk) 04:05, 2 February 2017 (UTC) —Bloomdoom2 (talk) 04:05, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Bloomdoom2: Well, we have a consensus of three: the nominator, the person who left a comment, and the deleting admin who agreed with the nominator's rationale. Looking at the AFD, I admit it is short but the argument for deleting is pretty solid. If you disagree with that outcome, you can ask the deleting administrator to reconsider and possibly restore the article to draft space for further improvement. Failing that, you can take the case to WP:DRV, not to argue the merits of the subject, but to determine if the deletion decision was proper... and you just might get the article restored and re-listed at WP:AFD for a longer discussion. But we cannot restore articles by request on this page, if they have been deleted as a result of an AFD discussion. ~Anachronist (talk) 04:11, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Anachronist: Ok, thanks for letting me know, I wasn't aware of those methods before since I'm a new editor, but I will try what you said, thanks for responding. Bloomdoom2 (talk) 04:15, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
