Ithaca League of Women Rollers or ILWR, are a women's flat-track roller derby league based in Ithaca, New York.[1] Founded in the Fall of 2007, the league had its first home bout at Cass Park Rink in May 2008. The ILWR became a WFTDA Apprentice league in January 2011,[2] In September 2011 they became a full member league of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association.[3] Ithaca's team has been very successful for the town's size, and may be second only to Oly Rollers in world rankings compared in relation to population pool.[citation needed]

Current teams

ILWR is composed of two teams: the SufferJets, and the BlueStockings (A team/B team). The SufferJets were voted the Ithaca Times Best Local Sports Team in 2010.[4]

Junior Rollers

The Ithaca League of Junior Rollers, or ILJR, is Ithaca’s all-women youth league and the first youth roller derby league founded in New York State. These youth had their exhibition bout in September 2010.[5]
