Most of the production comes from crops. The player starts with wheat but can eventually grow many other kinds of crops. To unlock them the player should grow the town’s population and level up. Crops can be used in the following ways - it is possible to sell crops or invest resources in processing them.

Factories
At the time of unlocking a new level, the township characters demand new factories or Community Buildings and when their construction is completed a reward is given to them. Factories and Community Buildings can be purchased for coins or cash.
Factories and Community Buildings help the player increase the population and the population capacity of the town, respectively.

Factories let players process various crops and animal products into other products which pick a higher cost and other benefits. As the player levels up more factories become available to be built.
They require construction materials to be built, which come through the trains.

Gameplay

Township is a city-building game which contains farming elements.[1] Players are guided through a brief tutorial at the very beginning of the game. The player begins with a starter town and in order to develop it they should harvest crops, run processing facilities and sell goods.[2] The primary currency in the game is T-cash. Besides, the player also earns XP (experience points) and coins for performing different kinds of actions in the game. Coins are used to buy factories, community buildings, decorations and XP points are used to level up. As the player accumulates XP points and goes through levels, more kinds of crops, factories, community buildings and decorations become available.

Social interaction

Township encourages interactions between players through the social network Facebook.[3] Keeping in touch with other players allows the player to develop the town faster by using friends’ help. In July 2015, a new update was released, introducing a zoo and the ability to donate to friends' planes and trains.

New crops, products, buildings and activities are added with each update from Playrix.[4]
