In the section titled Musical Career, 2003-05: Discovery and Trouble, in the first paragraph, third sentence, there should probably be a comma between the names "Elektra Stephens" as in "Elektra, Stephens." As written, without a comma, the sentence does not make sense. Also, what is Elektra? This is not a title/name mentioned previously, there is no context provided, and the citation makes no mention of Elektra. "American-born Senegalese"?

You mean he is a citizen of Senegal who happened to be born in the United States? Otherwise he's an American, who happens to be of Senegalese descent. If my father was English and moves to the US, where I'm born, if I chose to stay here, I'm an "American", not an "American-born Englishman". AnnaGoFast (talk) 06:40, 14 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am from the same place as Akon, Senegal. There is a interview that he says himself that he came from Senegal he came here at a young age with his father. He was only raised in Missouri but he wasn't born there he said himself he didn't understand English when he came he used to get bullied in school for not learning English. I believe the primary (first) image should be updated, as it is outdated (shows Akon performing in 2009 - almost 10 years ago). I would suggest perhaps an image of him in a suit, or something similar, to better showcase the humanitarian work he has done in recent years.
