Welcome to Wikipedia from the Medicine WikiProject!

Welcome to Wikipedia and WikiProject Medicine

Welcome to Wikipedia from WikiProject Medicine (also known as WPMED).

We're a group of editors who strive to improve the quality of medical articles here on Wikipedia. One of our members has noticed that you are interested in editing medical articles; it's great to have a new interested editor on board. In your wiki-voyages, a few things that may be relevant to editing Wikipedia articles are:

  • Thanks for coming aboard! We always appreciate a new editor. Feel free to leave us a message at any time on our talk page. If you are interested in joining the project yourself, there is a participant list where you can sign up. Please leave a message on the WPMED talk page if you have any problems, suggestions, would like review of an article, need suggestions for articles to edit, or would like some collaboration when editing!
  • Sourcing of medical and health-related content on Wikipedia is guided by our medical sourcing guidelines, commonly referred to as MEDRS. These guidelines typically require recent secondary sources to support information; their application is further explained here. Primary sources (case studies, case reports, research studies) are rarely used, especially if the primary sources are produced by the organisation or individual who is promoting a claim.
  • The Wikipedia community includes a wide variety of editors with different interests, skills, and knowledge. We all manage to get along through a lot of discussion that happens under the scenes and through the bold, revert, discuss editing cycle. If you encounter any problems, you can discuss them on an article's talk page or post a message on the WPMED talk page.

Feel free to drop a note on my talk page if you have any problems. I wish you all the best on your wiki voyages! Zefr (talk) 15:27, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a social network. Wikipedia is not a place to socialize or write things that are not directly related to improving the encyclopedia, as you did at Talk:COVID-19 vaccine. Off-topic material may be deleted at any time. We're sorry if this message has discouraged you from editing here, but the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia. Do not use the talk page for announcing your blog content, WP:NOTBLOG, WP:NOTFORUM. You can read the sources yourself, then make a proposal on the talk page. On my talk page, you said: "At present situation world suffers a lot , the Active vaccination far away from us

so my opinion is to encourage passive immunization , i given an example for passive immunization "Human Covid-19 immunoglobulin injection" , i could not find any other alternative safe treatment other that this injection, reply me." Doctor Andrew Baldwin MD (talk) 15:54, 1 May 2020 (UTC))[reply]

That's fine. Everyone is concerned and keeping track of reliable sources on developments for vaccines and treatments. You are a new Wikipedia user. You should learn first what an encyclopedia intends to contain about the pandemic, and how to edit or what to discuss on talk pages. Wikipedia is not a blog, WP:NOT. You can reply here rather than my talk page. Zefr (talk) 16:05, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi ,Zefr,Do you know ? i am an USA citizen, pulmonologist at a hospital in USA, working daily, treat many corona patients, watching many deaths with my eyes, in this connection i searched for a better treatment option for Covid-19 treatment world wide. I found the passive immunization drug " Human Covid-19 Immunoglobulins injection " , if any one import this drug to USA , Can save thousands of deaths of USA, the drug was manufactured in India , In India only limited number of deaths , why? Due to this reason i try to bring this passive immunization drug to the eyes of medical experts (Doctor Andrew Baldwin MD (talk) 18:02, 1 May 2020 (UTC))[reply]

Requesting you please put this drug under the eyes of medical experts , please change this drug profile from talk page to main page , thanq , if you do like this many medical experts may try to manufacture this type of drugs in usa, thanq (Doctor Andrew Baldwin MD (talk) 18:06, 1 May 2020 (UTC))[reply]

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia with a large amount of medical content that is suppored by reputable sources, as discussed in WP:MEDRS which I recommend you read. It would be useful for you to take your time, read, and learn through various Wikipedia guides, such as these: Wikiproject Medicine tutorial for new medical editors; Wikiproject Medicine resources summary; 2017 Published review of medical content on Wikipedia; PDF for editing Wikipedia articles on Medicine and WP:MEDHOW: Useful Wikipedia tips for editing medical and general content. Editors are not here to teach new editors how to research and edit. You can get help at WP:HELP. Wikipedia does not provide medical advice; see WP:NOTADVICE. Good luck in your work, and thanks on behalf of your patients for your care. Zefr (talk) 18:33, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
