Geoff Crowther

Geoff Crowther (1944-2021) was a British travel writer who wrote for Lonely Planet and BIT.[1]
In April 2021, he died at the age of 77 in South East Queensland, Australia.
Early life and career
Born in Yorkshire, England, he studied biochemistry at Liverpool University.[2] Soon he lost interest in the field he studied because he was more interested in travel.[3]
In 1970s, he starting giving recommendations and made some hand-drawn maps for an alternative publisher, BIT, in London.[4][5]
In 1977, he joined Lonely Planet.[6]
