--P5cpfeva 02:20, 19 March 2007 (UTC)Lydia T. Wright was born on May 5, 192bmn 2, in Shreveport, Louisiana. While still a child, Lydia and her sister, twin brothers, and mother, Parthenia Hickman Wright, moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, to join her father, Nathan, who was forced to flee Louisiana to escape lynching.[reply]

She attended the University of Cincinnati and Fisk University in Nashville. She received her medical degree from Meharry Medical College, also in Nashville. Dr. Wright completed her residency in New York City where she met her husband, Dr. Frank G. Evans. They were married in 1951, and relocated to Buffalo the following year.

Dr. Wright has several notable firsts on her resume. She was the first African American pediatrician and female physician in Buffalo. She also was the first black person appointed to serve on the Buffalo Board of Education, an office she assumed in May 1962. She served a five-year term on the Board, but declined a reappointment in 1967, noting that the education system was moving forward.

In an interview with The Buffalo Challenger newspaper, Dr. Wright recalled her tenure on the school board. She is remembered for her stand, as the lone opponent to the then Board majority's decision to establish a virtually all-black enrollment for Woodlawn Junior High School. "They drew the attendance lines to segregate the schools," she said. Dr. Wright is described in the article as being the "community's voice during board debates on school racial integration." In September 2000, the Common Council passed a resolution, sponsored by Council member Charley H. Fisher, to name the future school building proposed at the Kensington Heights site for Dr. Wright. A public hearing to celebrate the naming of the school after Dr. Wright was held on September 25, 2000, at Buffalo City Hall.

Dr. Wright also served on the board of the East Side Community Organization, Inc. (ESCO), the group that brought Saul Alinsky to Buffalo to organize Buffalo's black community. Dr. Wright and ESCO played an important role in bridging the gap between the black and white communities. She also was a member of the Committee for an Urban University in the Downtown Area.

Dr. Wright and her husband are members of St. Philip's Episcopal Church where she served on the Altar Guild. She has served on the Race Relations Committee of the Council of Churches and also was the first woman in the United States to be appointed to an Episcopal Bishop's standing committee, by the late Rt. Reverend Lauriston Scaife. Her other firsts include being the first black to receive the coveted Red Jacket Award from the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society, the first recipient of the Barber G. Conable Award from the Citizen's Council on Human Relations, and the Pediatrician of the Year Award from the Buffalo Pediatric Society. She also is a recipient of the Brotherhood Award of the National Conference of Christians and Jews.

Dr. Wright is a family historian, having traced her family history to the 11th century, and has developed a huge family history chart that proudly displays her lineage. She comes from a long line of educators dating back to her grandparents. Her maternal grandmother was a teacher, as was her mother, who graduated from the University of Cincinnati. Her father was a graduate of Tuskegee Institute and her maternal grandfather, Dr. Benjamin Hickman, was one of the first blacks to practice medicine in Cincinnati.

Dr. Wright and her husband have two children: Tamara, an attorney in Los Angeles, and Frank Jr., a local stockbroker, and two grandsons.

Matthew George Keene

Matthew George Keene, the son of Russell and Edwina (Pellerin) Keene was born March 18, 1989 in Berlin, New Hampshire. On October 18, 2006, he became a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) victim following football practice at his high school, Kimball Union Academy.He was saved by an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and if not for that device he would not be here today. He was at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for eights days where he underwent a plethora of tests, none of the tests showed any cause for the cardiac arrest. Since then, Matt has set out on a mission to get AEDs in all high school athletic events in New Hampshire. He started out by raising over $20,000 for his local town of Berlin to purchase AEDs to use for athletic events. He then joined with the forces of Sentator Peter Burling, the lawyers from Rath, Young and Pignatelli, and the New Hampshire Hospital Association to try to gain legislation to make his vision become a law. The main question government officials have is where will the money come from, that question has been answered by the formation of a foundation called "Matt's Mission", whihc will have a commision to keep track of the foundation and organize the donations the foundation recieves. They have already recieved over $20,000 in donations. Matt has met with New Hampshire Governer, John Lynch, has testified for the Bill, recieved the American Heart Association's prestigious Heartsaver award for 2007. He has also spoken at many events, including the 2007 American Heart Association Ball. Matt is still enrolled at Kimball Union Academy where he is a student leader, a Head Tour Guide, and a proctor in the dorm. He has plans to go to college in the future and continue his mission to make New Hampshire High Schools "Heart Safe".

Kevan O'Malley

Kevan O'Malley was born on February 7th, 1983, to parents Patrick and Nancy O'Malley. He was born at 7:42 am, which is also the address of the Simpson family - 742 Evergreen Terrace.

In his early years, Kevan went to some crappy pre-school at a church where he was looked after by a bunch of old ladies. One time a clown came to the class, and Kevan was so scared he hid under his teacher's chair. He was also known for hiding in his locker, although it is unknown what he was hiding from. Probably the smelly old ladies who were in charge. Later Kevan went to another church preschool that wasn't as bad, but still sucked. His only memories of this time were when he got to play a sesame street computer game, and the gross V8 juice his mom would put in his lunches.

After the crappy preschools, he was put in another crappy school; Fort Worth Academy. He remained there until entering high school. At Fort Worth Academy he had to wear bullshit uniforms everyday, because it was a private school. As a result, Kevan now hates getting dressed up and prefers to wear short, a t-shirt and flip flops. Even though Fort Worth Academy sucked hard for 9 years, Kevan did make some longlasting friendships there.

In the Japanese version of SSBM, there is 292 trophies, but in any other version, theres only 290. Beat Event 51

If you want to beat Event 51, here's the easiest way to do it. It doesn't work all the time, just to let you know. It takes some practice. But, to beat it, beleive it or not, you have to use Jigglypuff. This may sound crazy, but it works. First you have to beat Giga Bowser. To do this, you go over by him and hit down+ B. This makes her fall asleep. This should do about 27% damage. Do this 2-3 times, and he should fall off. Kill him 3 times. Then, kill Ganandorf. To do this, fly over the edge of the stage. He will try his Up+B and when he does this, click either L or R to quickly move out of the way. Do this three times. Then, after that, just fight Mewtew like normal, and if your skilled enough, this should work!

Power Shield

To use the power shield, attack and then immediately press Z. The difference between power shield and shield is that the power shield is bigger, and if held for a long time, will not break.

Call for fox's pals

choose the following stages: Venom ; or Corneria(preferably Venom). Then choose fox then get somewhere where you will not get attacked for at least 2 mins. Then press "left right left right" do it fast enough to get it. if done correctly fox will kneel down on 1 knee then 10 seconds after he kneels down peppy, or falco , or slippy will pop up on the bottom of the screen. Try not to get attacked as soon as you get attacked the friends will go away.

Sonic & Tails

Play the cruel melee and survive at least 25 people. Then sonic and tails will appear you have to defeat them at the exact same time in order for you to actually get them as a playable character. If you to this then you will get them both. Sonic & tails will act like mountain climbers and always try to stick together when they are on the field.

Note: You can not play as just Sonic or just Tails you have to play and be them both together. And they have some really great moves and you can use!

Get the X-BOX

To get the X-BOX as an item, win 100,000 vs. mode melee matches.

How to get Toad

You can get toad by beating the vs. mode 1,000,000 times I tried it and I got toad by doing it trust me it works

Frozen opponent � Quick Edit

Play in training mode and select Mewtwo. Choose Bowser or Donkey Kong as your enemy on battlefield and make a red shell. Mewtwo must be under the left platform. Bowser/Donkey Kong must be on the left platform. Mewtwo must have the red shell. Throw the red shell and use Forward + B on the red shell five times. Have Bowser/Donkey Kong drop through the platform. Use Forward + B on the red shell a sixth time. If done correctly, Bowser/Donkey Kong will be stuck to you. Make another CPU opponent and on either edge of either platform, grab the opponent that is not stuck to you and throw down. If done correctly, the opponent that was not stuck to you will be frozen. For an infinite combo, do the above then do a Shadow Ball next to the frozen opponent. This will rack up combos. Set the game speed to 2x and after you get 32767 combos with this, the consecutive hits counter will be at 900.

Nana does not die � Quick Edit

Choose the Ice Climbers and any stage. Begin to fight . If Nana begins to fall to her doom, use the B + Up attack. If you are close enough to her, she will magically appear next to you, and do the jump with you.

Floating Peach � Quick Edit

Play as Peach on the Corneria stage. Go to the top of the airship, and immediately quickly press Left and Right alternately. If done correctly, Peach should float. She will do this until she dies or gets hit with an item.

Big characters in a small stage � Quick Edit

Go to custom rules, choose items then take off every item except Super Mushrooms if you want more, just turn on party ball. When you got everything ready, select a small stage for battle. Then, when the announcer says "GO!" you'll be huge and the stage will be small, and the Super Mushrooms will help you be bigger and you can knock out people easy in a small stage.

Master Sword Trophy description

On the Master Sword trophy, it says that it first appeared in Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but it actually appeared in Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Fox or Falcon communications

Select Fox and Falco in two player mode. Set the time to unlimited and play on the Cornelia or Venom stages. Get them to do a special taunt, and make sure that they do not get hit until the team responds. You will see the communications show Fox or Falco talking, even though they are on the Great Fox fighting themselves or fighting CPU players.

Cheat: Alternate Music To listen to alternative music tracks on select stages press and hold either one of the two analog trigger buttons (L or R) when picking your stage. Find yourself a safe spot where you won't immediately be attacked by an opponent, then rapidly press left, right, left, right on the digital pad. If you did it correctly, Fox will kneel down and call up his friends. Falco, Peppy and Slippy will respond (their faces will appear at the bottom of the screen) and either give you useless advice or tell you to get out of the way as they're about to attack your opponent. Not a very useful move, but a cool thing to amaze your friends with nevertheless. Note that you can only perform this maneuver once every battle. Hint: Earn More Coins Did you know that the amount of coins you receive after a match is directly related to how often you "smash" the stick during battle? If you want to make easy money, enter the Adventure Mode and make your way all the way through the first level. But before you exit, stand on a secure platform and wiggle the control stick right and left "Decathlon" style. You don't even need to complete smash moves -- moving the stick all the way is enough to earn cash. When you exit and finish the stage you will receive a much higher number of coins. You can do this in any mode or on any level, but you get a lower amount of coins in Vs. Mode (unless all players do this trick at the same time). Hint: Extend Samus' Grappling Beam Rotate the D-PAD in a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction very quickly while pressing Z, R, and A. Done correctly, this will lengthen Samus' grappling hook for the duration of the match, but she will no longer automatically grab onto enemies unless you press the A button. Hint: Home Run with Link To get an easy home run use Link or Young Link. Stand at the beginning stance and use full blast arrows. This will put percentage on it and move it towards the edge. Now pick up the bat and do a smash attack. This should send the bag over 700 feet! Hint: Homerun (Roy) Use Roy and his UP + A on the bag about three or four times. While the bag is in the air and there's about 3 seconds left, use Roy's Charge B move to send it flying past 1500 ft. Hint: Peach's Quick Float In Super Smash Bros. Her dress is without a doubt one of her most useful tools. Knowing that Peach fanatics want to use it liberally, the developers of the game, HAL, have added in a quick float feature. Instead of having to jump full height to activate the float, you can press Down + X/Y at any time to start floating. Hold the button down to continue hovering.
