Quotations

There a lot of quotations that are confusingly thrown in there (could be confusing because of the translation). I am having trouble editing it all so if anyone has any knowledge or follows it all then please jump in! Better in-line citations would be great too. The article is not currently suitable for copy editing as it is unintelligible.
