Pretty sure the American imported grapes were responsible for phylloxera. See this article: [1]https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-019-54122-0

Also, Wikipedia's own articles on Phylloxera and the Great French Wine Blight acknowledge the origin of phylloxera in American imports. Yes, I know it's horrible that we nearly decimated Europe's wines, but history is history. Literaturegirl (talk) 17:50, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
