Information icon Hello, I'm Sumanuil. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to B. J. Britt have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Sumanuil. 07:30, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to put the picture of B. J. Britt back but someone removed it. Maybe you should do something about it since doing something like that is actually not constructive. Putting it back it would be constructive however. AidepikiwIV (talk) 23:55, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

November 2022

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Arrow (TV series). Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Brojam (talk) 06:35, 28 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Why is my edit considered as vandalism when someone did the exact same thing to The Flash (2014 TV series)? They added Tom Felton to the main cast list when he wasn't credited as such in the show. So why can't I do the same to Arrow (TV series)? AidepikiwIV (talk) 02:07, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:B. J. Britt.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 19:21, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with upload of File:Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Secret Invasion poster.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Secret Invasion poster.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. Control copyright icon Hello AidepikiwIV! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source. You must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. Read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Our policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 19:31, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Important note - You cannot just add images you find on the Internet. In particular, you have uploaded two images with no source and no license. These images cannot be used unless you can clear that up. -- Whpq (talk) 19:33, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Secret Invasion poster.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a copyright violation of https://twitter.com/AgentsFandom/status/1660370939476078592 and has no credible claim of fair use or permission. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 19:33, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Allow me to re-upload the image with the necessary information added. Feel free to delete it now and I will re-upload it. AidepikiwIV (talk) 19:37, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The caption on the Twitter account says it is a fan-made poster. I see no possible valid use of the image here on Wikipedia. Please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's non-free content guidelines, and in particular, the non-free content criteria which must all be met before non-free content an be used. If you have questions you can get help from the Teahouse or Media Copyright Questions for media specific inquiries. -- Whpq (talk) 19:40, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Why is this not allowed but a wikipedia page about Spider-Man: Lotus (a fan made movie), is allowed? AidepikiwIV (talk) 19:43, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That is an article. You are just uploading an image. Your use of the image is in your sandbox. Non-free content may only be used in articles. If you agree that this image should be deleted, you can {{db-author}} to the file description to request its deletion. But you should not have removed the existing deletion tag. -- Whpq (talk) 20:56, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
