The Assam Provincial Muslim League was the branch of the All-India Muslim League in the Assam Province of the British Raj. It had its roots in the East Bengal and Assam Provincial Muslim League established in 1912, but only came to prominence in 1937 when it was revived as part of an India-wide revival of the Muslim League. It played a role in the creation of the Dominion of Pakistan in 1947 and in particular a seminal role during the Sylhet Referendum of 1947.
