Werner Eschauer is an Austrian tennis player born April 26, 1974 at Hollenstein.

His best ranking is 85th place, as of April 16, 2007. At the 2007 French Open, he benefited from the retirement of opponent Alexandre Sidorenko in the first round.

Eschauer is set to play Rafael Nadal on the center court of the All-England Tennis club at Wimbledon 2007. ESPN's Chris Fowler reported during coverage of this event that when searching for a left-handed player to practice against as a warm-up for the left-handed Nadal, Eschauer ended up facing off against John McEnroe, much to his delight. Fowler described Eschauer as coming from a modest background, and stated that he had not received much support from the Tennis Federation.
