WAVY

Out of curiosity, noticing your screen name, are you a fan of WAVY-TV? SchuminWeb (Talk) 01:58, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You could say that. WAVY 10 01:58, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wavy TV 10? iI presume? Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 18:14, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah. WAVY 10 18:16, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I watch them. Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 18:19, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Are you from Portsmouth, Virginia? Because that's where WAVY 10 is. MHarrington 18:58, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, no. I'm from Hertford, North Carolina. WAVY 10 18:59, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Newscast Schedules

In some cases, I couldn't. Like with WAVY, anchors/reporters were listed in a seperate section. Unlike WTKR which incorporated the anchors, etc. into the schedule. I apologize for this.

According to User:JzG and User:A Man In Black, citing WP:NOT#DIR, they are claiming that newscast schedules are no longer allowed under Wikipedia rules. I made an attempt to fight this, even proposing a rule change, only to be ridiculed, threatened and ultimately laughed at. I recieved no help from WP:TVS on this at all. So, after all that, I did their dirty work.

I will be perfectly honest, I didn't want to, but it ain't worth the fight. If I messed up some of your work, I greatly apologize and will work with you to get your respective pages back in order, and within WP:NOT#DIR. Again, my apologizes...NeutralHomer T:C 19:10, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okie Dokie...again, I apologize. - NeutralHomer T:C 19:15, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did some googling - "Pepé Le Pew" and "stalker" do bring up a lot of choice quotes - there's definately a negative view of the cartoons out there - i'm fairly sure some feminist groups have said something about it at one point as well. PMA 10:19, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WVBT

newsguy at TVNewsTalk emailed someone at WAVY/WVBT and they said that FOX was making the MyFox websites available to all the FOX affiliates. Robert at VARTV was just assuming that WVBT was going O&O, but if I remember right, in the reply newsguy received, there wasn't anything about WVBT goiing O&O. Ntropolis 15:48, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just wanted to say...

Kudos on your username. I vacation on the Chesapeake every August, around Cheriton, and WAVY-TV is the only station that comes in clearly.

Do you know if the station released a hurricane map this year? --DodgerOfZion 16:57, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Episode article review notice

The individual episode articles for Hannah Montana are now being reviewed according to episode notability guidelines. Please contribute to the discussion on Talk:List of Hannah Montana episodes#2nd episode article review. Thanks. -- Ned Scott 06:01, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shine Jesus Shine

You've just added this line to the above article (which I have edited previously): "Kendrick himself recorded it in Integrity's 1990 album Amazing Love". I'm not sure why you added this (other than as a plug for that album!). This song was first recorded by Graham Kendrick on a 1988 album called "Make Way For Jesus - Shine Jesus Shine" on the Kingsway label. I think your addition is potentially misleading as it could give people the impression that it was first recorded on Amazing Love. Would you mind if I changed or reverted your edit? Varied Threats

In the talk page for The Gospel Bill Show, you commented:

I noticed that each of the varied IP's used by Mmbabies tends to include in the vandalism something to the equivalent of threats concerning Kellie Copeland where the song she did for the show is mentioned. Is there a separate area where Wikipedia deals with threats?

I suggest asking the experts at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Television Stations -- all of us there are working hard to shut Mmbabies down for good, before he succeeds in shutting Wikipedia down for good. And yes, he is a very dangerous threat to the entire Wikipedia organisation. -- azumanga 03:32, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dylan and Cole Sprouse

WAVY 10, I see your reasoning for keeping the weight issue out of the encyclopedia. Nevertheless, there are many other "unencyclopedic" things in that article as well. I personally think that the quality of the article will not be compromised with that in, since many people want to know about this stuff. Maybe we could make a trivia section? I'm not sure.

P.S.- 77 WABC is awesome!! Everyone you listed in that infobox is amazing! You're a great american (in the words of Sean Hannity.)

69.115.9.165 02:14, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Except for the fact that there has been a big crackdown on trivia the last few months. WAVY 10 02:16, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I understand there's been a crackdown on trivia; nevertheless this "factoid" makes a big difference on how people view D.& C. For example, no one feels like adding a picture to the article, so you must have a description of apperance. Also, the fact that they are twins is misleading, as they may look different. There are many reasons to add that piece of information. 69.115.9.165 18:14, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I believe the fact should just be kept on there. It's not vandalism, it's necsessary for people who want to know about Dylan and Cole, and it's a true fact. So what's the big deal? I can find the exact source and add a footnote if that helps. I hope you agree to this and realize that this is a neccessary fact. Cheers, 69.115.9.165 18:38, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
WAVY, it's not even close to a "challenge". If you've ever seen an episode of Suite Life, then you know for a fact Dylan is heavier. It's just a matter of choosing a source. :P. Cheers, 69.115.9.165 18:49, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
WAVY, I have found a source for the information I put in, but what I will do is I will change the wording on it a bit. The article is protected, though. Is there a way I can get the info with a source in even though it is protected? Thanks, 69.115.9.165 19:17, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: WTKR Info

I heard Priscilla Monti say "NewsChannel 3" at the end of her live report today at noon. Ntropolis 21:38, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WAVY 10

Trust Me

Please trust me WAVY 10 the movie Lullabye Before I Wake is real check the videos out: [number 1] [number 2]. It's real you can even ask Maiara Walsh by fan mailing her about it or go to a taping of Cory in the HOuse and ask her even. I'm sorry if I'm bugging you but please believe me.

TV news music

I tagged Television news music and List of television news music packages for the same reason that I tagged the news packages -- they don't seem to be notable enough subjects for encyclopedia articles. I suppose if you can get enough references and such, an article on television news music as a whole might be okay. Not that I'm the ultimate arbiter of what's acceptable, mind you. :) —tregoweth (talk) 22:31, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New Article Improvment page for WP:VIRGINIA

Seeing as our old Collaborations page at WP:VIRGINIA had no activity in the past year it was decided to replace it with a new Article Improvement/Request Help page that would allow members to list articles in need of attention. Its also a place to request help for an article taht you are working on to see if any other members would like to volunteer and help out. Thanks. T Rex | talk 01:18, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Category Issue?

Wbh011 18:30, 7 August 2007 (UTC)wbh011Wbh011 18:30, 7 August 2007 (UTC) Hello, the recent removal of content from Kenneth Copeland wiki has troubled some. Please note that I am VERY NEW to wiki. THe majority of information on this site is correct. However, contributors have placed categories such as television evangelist and word of faith on this site-- which would be no problem except the information on those sites is subjective and harmful to those sites being linked to. Kenneth Copeland nor any representatives from their company created this site [orginally].[reply]

Since the information on Television Evangelist and word of faith is not totally accurate and is not a full respresentation of Kenneth Copeland or Kenneth Copeland Ministries, these categories and links need to be removed.

What is the best course of action for Kenneth Copeland wiki? Wbh011 18:30, 7 August 2007 (UTC)wbh011Wbh011 18:30, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

TSL criticism section

Please look at the information on the page under "Act Four: My Other Dog's a German Shepherd." Unfortunately, the page doesn't say which TV show he is referring to, but if you listen to the recording offered on the page, he says it (it is a radio show, after all). If you don't want to pay the 95 cents to find out, look at the numerous references to it that I didn't cite because they aren't quite reliable sources: [1], [2], [3]. Unfortunately reliable sources are not always free. This should be included in the article because it offers an adult perspective on the show, by somebody whose job is relevant here (as a love/sex columnist). Rigadoun (talk) 17:15, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I realize that it's a bit problematic because the source can't be seen in print there. But how else can one cite a reference on a radio show? I don't think WP:RS requires that references be in print, nor that they be free, as long as they are available (as the show is for download). Rigadoun (talk) 17:22, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what you mean. There is a link to the actual audio on the page I cited. Rigadoun (talk) 17:34, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Is including a segment of a radio show acceptable under WIkipedia:Fair use? (It is copyrighted material, of course.) It isn't explicitly mentioned there, and fair use requirements tend to be narrowly construed by editors. Rigadoun (talk) 17:41, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dallas Cowboys

Ok I won't put this in template form out of respect, but WAVY 10, cmon man. Adding a section in Dallas Cowboys without consensus in just not cool man. I know you do a lot of writing, so I am not going to rip you a new one. Just please use better judgement. QwazywabbitMsg me 22:16, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding thumbnails

Hi, I wanted to gather more information regarding your addition of "thumb" to several photos in Wachovia. While I understand the rationale for the legacy Wachovia logo, where a caption is needed to differentiate it from the current logo, I don't see the need on the other logos. The meanings of the CoreStates, SouthTrust, and Westcorp logos all seem self evident, without an additional caption. Also, the gray box added by "thumb" and the distortion of the images, especially on the Westcorp logo, are not as aesthetic as the original logos by themselves.

I want to make sure that I'm not overlooking any benefits of the "thumb" qualifier before I make any changes.

Re: Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana

I think I know which user you're talking about... IP Address, 75.5.177.0? Thank you for reporting him, I was going to, but I'm not real clear on the formalities of reporting a vandal yet. I only know how to revert vandalism and give warnings. Have any tips on this? ZSoraz 18:03, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. ZSoraz 18:11, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
