"Imaginationland"

"Imaginationland" is episode 1110 (#163) of Comedy Central's South Park. It premiered on October 17, 2007.

Plot

The doors of a whole new dimension are thrown open and the boys of South Park walk right on in. Finding Cartman's leprechaun is just the tip of the iceberg when the boys are about to have the entire contents of the world's imagination laid before them. The boys realize that what they know has become a valuable commodity to the U. S. government. Meanwhile, Butters is about to become collateral damage.

Among the residents of Imaginationland are Joseph Smith, Ronald McDonald, Optimus Prime, Mario, Totoro, Jack Skellington, Count Chocula, Raggedy Ann, Raggedy Andy, Leonardo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mr. Clean, the Lollipop King, Mr Tumnus, Cinderella, Snarf, Santa Claus, The Flash, a Blue Meanie (from The Beatles movie Yellow Submarine), Orko, and Grumpy Bear.

The terrorist attack scene, where Stan visions events in slow-motion, is reminiscent of the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan, where Tom Hanks experiences a similar situation.

A chinpokomon was seen in Kyle's room.

The man who takes the boys to Imaginationland is a parody of Dreamfinder of Epcot's Journey into Imagination with his blimp vehicle and Imagination song.
