Revamp

Just to let you know, I have completely revamped the WikiProject Zimbabwe page so that it is more uniform to the layout and design of other WikiProjects. Please have a look and try to fill in any of the new sections created. Your help is much appreciated. Many thanks, Mangwanani 17:00, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

The current Zimbabwe WikiProject Collaboration of the Fortnight is Not applicable!
Please read the nomination text and help improve the article to featured article standard if you can.

As the number of people taking part in WikiProject Zimbabwe grows, I have more and more people to notify of changes. If you havn't already done so, please could you add the notice board to your watch list so that I can add any changes there and only once not as many times as there are members. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Reginaldmaudling.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Reginaldmaudling.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:13, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Arthur G.O. Mutambara

What I am against is removing sources, all material should be sourced and you talk of the source being bunkum. On what basis are you saying that? Moreover you added material that is not sourced that is clearly out of line. Can you source the information that he is a 'Leading'consultant in South Africa.I want a reference to leading in particular, and if you cannot source that then it has to go. Africa Festival

Goddard

Hi Fys. I noticed that you revised my edit to the article on Chief Justice Goddard. I've no problem at all with the revision, but I just wanted to ask about something in your edit comment - when you say the source is questionable, do you mean the original source or Spencer's book? If the latter, can you give me some background on this? Thanks SP-KP 18:10, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - thanks for that reply - very informative. So just to clarify, you've not got any specific info on the Spencer book which suggests that it might be unreliable on other subjects, is that correct? My reason for asking is that if it is a source which has a question over its reliability, then I need to be careful when using information from it in other articles. Thanks SP-KP 18:49, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. You, I and others have made a number of edits around these pages. In order to seek wider consensus, discussions have been started at Talk:Bermondsey by-election, 1983 and Talk:Miranda Grell. You may wish to contribute to these. Bondegezou 09:20, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Edwardheath1970.jpg

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Edwardheath1970.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Calliopejen1 15:51, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Howebudget.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Howebudget.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:29, 10 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Calliopejen1 17:29, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
