Re: On Deja vu

No problem! I hadn't realised I had delimited the labels by a slash, not by a comma. Funk Junkie (talk) 14:22, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copy-editing

Could you please help cleaning-up B'Day? --BritandBeyonce (talk) 08:16, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'd love to, but I have no time right now. I'm in school five days a week (9am to 9pm on most days), and I work on the weekends, so I'm never on wikipedia anymore. But if I have free time, I'll definitely take a look at it. I could refer you to two people who are great copy editors: User:LaraLove and User:Extraordinary Machine. Orane (talk) 16:01, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

B&B, I've finally been able to address your recommendations re: the GAN of this article. Most significantly, the lead section has been expanded to three paragraphs. Your other suggestions have also been followed. Hopefully, it's at the point where it can be reassessed to GA-status. Thanks for your feedback and assistance. --Figureskatingfan (talk) 23:45, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Addressed, left notes. You didn't put the nom on hold, you should do that, that is one of the first things you are to do. —Burningclean [Speak the truth!] 01:31, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. Thank you by the way. —Burningclean [Speak the truth!] 04:23, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How far do you think it will get on FAC? Would you support, or oppose? Thanks for your help. —Burningclean [Speak the truth!] 02:07, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Do you do copy-editing? If so would you perform one on it? Thanks, you are really helpful. I hope you become an admin soon. —Burningclean [Speak the truth!] 02:20, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Who do you usually ask? —Burningclean [Speak the truth!] 02:28, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your request for adminship was unsuccessful

I am sorry to inform you that I have closed your RfA as unsuccessful. Do not be too disheartened - many of our finest admins were unsuccessful on their first attempt. I hope you will take onboard the concerns raised by those opposing and will consider running again in the future when you have more experience. Best wishes, WjBscribe 00:48, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Aw, just try in a few months then. I suggest that you comment more outside Phil. Afd's and lurk in WP:ANI (you'll get a lot of conflict in deletion, better practice now that be sorry later). For any "easy" feature list, try to get Howard's new article to FL status. For a similar list of FL quality, see List of U.S. state name etymologies. Sources are given in the Tambayan page and the article's talk page. Also try to improve the EDSA I article with the sources I listed on the talk page. Why do I assign you these tasks? Well, FA and FL's are very good for your resume and will win you more support votes in your next Rfa. Also, don't be saddened with this failure, some users got their mops after the eight RfA.

I'm thinking of devoting more of my time in the Tagalog wiki, (hence the bonk status). They need more help there. Hey, maybe you could help in the Music section of the tagalog wiki if you have time.--Lenticel (talk) 01:41, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

re: Break the Ice

Hi there - I realize you worked on this which is why I just made it a redirect for now. I've redirected it about a trillion times now, which is why I did it again, pending an official announcement as a single. Since its a redirect all of your work is still there in the history and it can be reverted later. Hope its not too much trouble. See ya! - eo (talk) 05:06, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your rfa

Your contributions etc seemed okay. Just a little more experience and other things and you'll get there. Simply south (talk) 10:43, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your RfA

Hello BritandBeyonce, you're welcome for my support in your RfA. :) I think you're a good user, and I have encountered your work here many times. By the way, I have granted rollback rights to your account. I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended use of reverting vandalism: I do not believe you will abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. You would have received rollback had your RfA succeeded, but if you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck. Acalamari 19:25, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry that your RfA didn't work out. As you can gather from my comments there, I think the majority of the reasons for oppose were pretty weak; I think you'll make great admin material when the next one rolls around. I'll try and keep an eye out for it. Tijuana Brass (talk) 20:21, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Best of luck in the near future. Try out the rollback feature. It's neat-o-keen. Bearian (talk) 17:44, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gimme More

Just saw your comment on Tony's talk page about my copyediting, and thought I'd better advise you to hold back on an FAC for the moment. My work on the article didn't go as far as I think you'd need to go to get it to featured article status; if I'm honest, I think it could still do with another pair of eyes, perhaps at WP:LoCE. Your call though. Chwech 21:49, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Touch Me I'm Sick

Phew! I think I've fixed everything you listed except "For publication entry in the citation template, enclose it in a parenthesis." - I don't understand. Geez, I didn't know there were so many mistakes in the article. Thanks a ton! :) indopug (talk) 15:13, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the tip, I found new sources and was in the process of adding info and restructuring the article. You're right, I should probably remove a couple of them. indopug (talk) 09:20, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FA process

Hi there! Sorry I couldn't help you with Deja Vu, I was finishing an essay that was due on Monday of this week. But I see that it passed GA. I'd recommend you acquire the services of 17Drew for the whole FA thing. He's done alot for Gwen Stefani-related articles like Cool, What You Waiting For etc. It may be a different artist but both Beyonce and Gwen are classified as "pop" and Drew might be be able to help you. Shoot him up a message and see what he says, OK? Thanks! (SUDUSER)85 06:50, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Prairie Ave FAC

Thank you for the congratulations. I am fairly certain finally getting fresh eyes to give me a copy edit helped get it over the hump on its second attempt. Thanks for taking the time.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 17:30, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Suga Mama

Thanks for notifying me about the Suga Mama article being on AFD.

Also, I noticed your contributions to the Say It Right article, which I have also contributed to—they're really useful and good, well done! One of the sentences you wrote read wrongly to me, so I corrected it; I then looked on your talk page and noticed that you are from the Philippines. Am I right in assuming that English isn't your first language? (I don't mean to offend you by asking this question.) If you think may you need someone to read through an article you have worked on and check your English, I'm always happy to help! :) Extraordinary Machine (talk) 22:14, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Resilient Barnstar

File:Resilient-silver.png The Resilient Barnstar
For enduring your RfA and coming out of it still going strong, I award you this Resilient Barnstar. Cheers, Doczilla (talk) 06:25, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You're quite welcome. Doczilla (talk) 09:33, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Changing

You mean renaming your account? No, that can only be done by a bureaucrat, and after being requested at Wikipedia:Changing usernames. The only change I can make to an account, other than blocking one (which doesn't really change the account, it just prevents it from editing), is by granting rollback abilities, as I did with your account. Acalamari 17:14, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I'm Skeeker, I just changed my username. —Burningclean [Speak the truth!] 20:14, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. Acalamari 00:57, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, would you mind taking a look at Alice in Chains and commenting on its FAC page? feel free not to. —Burningclean [Speak the truth!] 01:05, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like Jive released a promo single and it was featured on the official Britney website. Someone revived the article, but I pulled up your older version that I had redirect. I added in some new info that was placed there by a different editor. Add/subtract what you want.... looks like most of what you wrote earlier still applies. See ya! - eo (talk) 19:54, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Carpenters

Ahh yes, I know, just have been horribly busy for the past few weeks. A wikibreak is definitely being planned. I shall get to it. FamicomJL (talk) 21:50, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
