Camp Heaven On Earth.

Should anyone put up that Maddie is now working as a counselor in Camp heaven on Earth. Is there any information regarding her staying for the whole season? Or that somebody should wait for the season to end?Kingdomheartsora 04:44, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The question actually should be would Maddie leave the show for good for her own show or will someone replace her? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.3.6.2 (talkcontribs)

personally, I would like it if Maddie left the show, her character has become extremely inconsist and I am shocked that a girl who is so popular can get by without the skill to act consistly. what happened to the old preppy goodi-goodie Maddie I loved?

Not a forum, but I would guess she's not going anywhere. WAVY 10 22:59, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree maddie is not going anywhere but she wont be in as many episodes until the whole high school musical saga is over once thats over she will probably come back

Maddie has come back to the show, she was apparently visiting her Grandmother in Antarctica. She is now back and will continue playing her lead role as Maddie; she is back until the show cancels. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.227.233.98 (talk) 17:37, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No she wasn't visiting her grandmother in Antartica! Ashley Tisdale missed 11 episodes of season 2 as she was filming and publicising High School Musical 2. She will be more involved in season 3 which will be the last season before the spin-off featuring the twins and London begins in 2010. From what I hear a televison movie is in the pipe-line too.Mc8755 (talk) 20:42, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ummmm, Ashlet Tisdale didn't miss 11 episodes in season 2, she missed them in season 3 due to HSM 2. Disney Channel HAS CONFIRMED that The Suite Life will be ending this year, and the spin-off Suite Life On Deck, will air in late 2008 or 2009. Probably because Ashley wants to be a pop star and Kim is pregnant.

Disputable statement

I saw this in the trivia section on the main article:

  • In the episode "Free Tippy", the Tipton's policy of retiring employees at age 65 is a reference to Disney's one-time policy of cancelling shows after the 65th episode.

A similar statement on the Hannah Montana page was just deleted. Should I do likewise? WAVY 10 15:22, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. 65 is when most people retire in the real world. It is either a coincidence that Disney has the same number or they just used it because their shows are in a sense retiring like the people. Snoborder93 04:20, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since when is 65 when most people retire? Everyone is different, especially in the time period, many people continue to work when they get old. And how the heck does this fit into Hannah Montana? --04:51, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure it's been that way for a while. I mean, sure you can retire before and after youre 65, but that is the average age people choose to retire. It's a milestone age, just like 18, 21, etc.Snoborder93 17:10, 2 August 2007 (UTC) She Is Coming Back. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bratzkid20 (talkcontribs) 15:32, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't even see why Disney limits shows to 65 episodes. Kim Possible and That's so Raven have also broken that number. Perhaps they no longer enforce that. Hallpriest9 (Talk | Archive) 16:42, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Protection request...again

Just asked for that concerning the whole "cancellation" rumor (and as far as we know, it is just that...a rumor {albeit a likely one}). WAVY 10 21:53, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the show is coming off air. They cast shot their last episode at the end of 2007.They have already ripped out all of the set. So all the very few new episodes left have already been shot.

Their probably shutting down because Ashley has a tight schedule doing a movie in late 2007 and then High School Musical 3. Brenda also has a tight schedule because she is starring in a new show which for now the name is Lucky Brenda. Also, it could be because of the episode limit on Disney Channel but probably not because Thats So Raven and Kim Possible have passed the 65 limit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.2.173.106 (talk) 02:55, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i think there shutting down because cole and Dylan Sprouse dont want to do it anymore —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.41.162.12 (talk) 15:48, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I do agree that Ashley has a tight schedule now , but what is Lucky Brenda? The show isn't shutting down due to Dylan and Cole disinterest because DC HAS CONFIRMED that a spin-off, Suite Life On deck is in production. also, DC no longer uses the 65 episode limit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.114.144.24 (talk) 23:23, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Books and Games

Having articles on the books and games is a little much. None of them are particularly notable, I think we should merge them all into a list of media, then we can take the info for the DVDs off the episode list and have it there. Any opinions? --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 17:28, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

exterior long shot

Please compare pix of the Tipton w. the Plaza in NYC located at 5th Ave and Central Park South. I'm talking about the shot that includes the entire building from the right side. There is a large glass building barely visible just to the left of the Tipton. I have tried to edit to include this information but, as has happened on other occasions, cetain contributers feel that they own the sight. Not goos.Longinus876 18:32, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:RS, WP:V and WP:OR. You're gonna need a source to verify that before you can add it. As well, do not attack other editors. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 19:24, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spinoff

I think the "Arwin" spinoff is dead. (I noticed the page for it was deleted...again) WAVY 10 15:39, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

brenda song stated in popstar magazine that the suite life spin off is going to in a cruise and that london tipton is going to be in it and maddie fitzpatrick isnt going to be in it she also stated that zack and cody are going to be in the series but im not sure if they are going to guest star in some episodes or atr along side with brenda its also on their webite but im not sure it might be a rumor. Suite Life definitely canceled

The Suite Life has definitely been cancelled and if you don't believe me go on to [1] or just simply search the web for it. Ashley Tisdale confirmed it. Lucas&Ashley 13:34, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't convince us in the talk page. Add a specific reference as a reference in the actual article where it does and needs to belong. The actual reference you did use is from a fan site which is not good enough. It would be a lot better to find one from a news source. --NrDg 13:41, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I removed this claim from the article, unable to verify it appeared in Disney Adventures magazine. A verifiable source is needed. Accurizer 13:34, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering myself if a source exists for this season being the final season. By the way, the <ref> above should be remomved, as it links…nowhere. Hallpriest9 (Talk | Archive) 16:39, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay let me clear this up. ' Arwin ' did not make it past the pilot, it is cancelled. Suite Life on Deck is in production right now and has been confirmed on air by DC. also, Brenda, Cole Dylan, and Phil will star in it. Ashley won't because she wants to 'grow up' and Kim probably isn't on full time because she is pregant and will want to be mom. Good Choice I think. She will probably make guest appearances. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.114.144.24 (talk) 23:28, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Better Picture

I Thibk I've found a better picture. It is basically the same as the one already up but it has Mureal and Esteban on as well. I'll put it on, please don't tak it down unless it really is awful

I think Muriel's gone, so that may not work that well. WAVY 10 13:59, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism from Dan Savage

I recently added this to the article:

Dan Savage, the sex columnist, devoted a segment of an appearance on This American Life of March 16 2007 to describing the show and his concerns that it provides such a distorted image of love that he won't let his son watch it. Reference: This American Life Episode No. 328

It was deleted because the page I provided does not mention the show by name, but is the page of a radio show which includes a broadcast which can be downloaded which provides Savage's criticism of the show (in "Act Four: My Other Dog's a German Shepherd"). I had attempted to find a freely accessible reliable source which mentioned the show by name, but all I could find were blogs. I have since found this, though: "Ira Glass Goes Electric," from a Chicago paper which mentions it by name in passing (in the sixth paragraph, which starts "February's live..."). It doesn't explain the reasons for the criticism, though, so it can't be a substitute for the primary source.

I believe this content should be included because Dan Savage is a noted columnist, and the area of relationships (which was his reason for criticizing the show) is what his columns are about. It also offers the perspective of an adult, which does not appear elsewhere on the page (the only other reception mentioned on the page is awards, which includes a kid's choice award). Actually, the page in general should have some sort of response section, since it seems to be quite popular and there is probably more to say about it from various perspectives (ratings, international viewership, etc.). Some people dislike "criticism" sections as splitting out such content, and I would be happy to include this in a response section in general (which would include positive points as well). Rigadoun (talk) 18:06, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's a good idea. WAVY 10 18:17, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It should be added if you can find a way to attach a verifiable reference to the information. I suggest that you include the url for the audio itself, if possible, and use timestamps to mark where the relevant audio portion is located. Include a cite quote if you think it would help. I don't think there is a cite template for this type of web site so you might have to role your own. --NrDg 18:21, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You can find the complete episode, with free audio, from the This American Life website, http://thisamericanlife.org/Radio_Episode.aspx?episode=328 Marsp 00:36, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • It got a video here.[2] It features Max Burkholder as Billy. I downloaded it from the actor's official website and then uploaded it at the File Front website. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.45.176.226 (talk) 00:51, August 26, 2007 (UTC)

Merge suggestion

It has been suggested that the articles on the individual characters of the series are merged into this one as they would not comply to the fiction notability guideline WP:FICT. Any thoughts? --Van helsing 09:00, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If it (referring to the London Tipton article) isn't merged and pruned substantially, I will probably stub it in place, since no sources have revealed themselves in the months that the tag has been at the top requesting reliable sources. It is doubtful such sources exist, certainly not enough to yield an article of this length. Quatloo 09:48, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
They probably meant merge them into a separate character page. WAVY 10 18:20, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is those character pages have no sources and no sources exist for that material. So those long character pages have to be pruned down to stubs, and then we will merge those stubs into the main article. Without reliable sources, you will have no article anyway. Quatloo 23:13, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The sources are the tv episodes themselves, just with any other fictional character that has a WP article. Your never going to find RS that talk about fictional characters. At least not enough to cite everything in an article like the ones in mention. Not sure how to prove any of the info besides watching the episodes yourself. But I am against merging them. --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 00:00, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Episodes of a TV sitcom cannot be used as sources for Wikipedia articles. Please read WP:RS. If that is the only source (and likely, in almost all of the cases here, there are no other sources), all of the material has to go. Quatloo 13:29, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There is sooooooo much info on each character on their page, it wouldn't all fit onto the Suite Life page!!! - Ferdinand (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.121.49.235 (talk)
I agree with the dude above..

Ferdinand? We have quite a lot. It would not fit on the main page. You can't have sources for TV shows, because you could say on some fan site that the Suite Life was going to be canceled, and someone else could go 'Oh, a source!' and put it on Suite Life page. Most sources are wrong with TV shows. If it was a book, THEN we could have sources, I suppose.

  • Megan :) 00:09, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
  • I have redirected the various character articles. Please note that this is not a vote. Larger community consensus about fiction articles (WP:FICT, WP:WAF), which requires an assertion of real-world notability and the use of reliable sources, trumps any individual discussion. Interested editors are welcome to restore the articles in the event that they have content that satisfies the content guidelines mentioned above. Eusebeus 14:42, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure those who wanted to keep the articles (myself included) have to admit that it is very difficult to find sources that satisfy WP:RS for these...or most TV characters.

I'd have considered creating a List of Main Characters from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody or moving the recurring characters article into a general character article and moving the information to that page, then redirecting to the correct page. WAVY 10 17:57, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cluck Bucket a notable location?

I think that since Cluck Bucket is a location mentioned during the latter part of season 2- season 3, we should probably add it as a location mentioned in the series. Calebaldwinjun9 02:57, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I only remember a couple of episodes where Cluck Bucket was referenced. WAVY 10 12:39, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Clean up trivia

The trivia section is pretty screwed up. One says "Tisdale missed alot of episodes in season 3 because shooting of high school musical. In the show they say she is in atartica", among otheres. Please fix it.4.68.248.214 23:10, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

She wasn't REALLY in Antarctica, they just used that as a cover-up. In the show, Ashley is Maddie, not Sharpay, so in the Suite Life of Zack and Cody, they had to use something to cover it up, obviousily. There is no reason that this should be changed because it is the truth; there is nothing wrong with it.

Yes, but, wasn't she in camp heaven on earth, why would she be in antartica even in the show?? 4.68.248.214 02:07, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maddie was in Camp Heaven on Earth during the Summer portion of the show, she was spending a semester in Antartica probably because writers ran out of summer shows and decided to go to the school year, enter Maddie in Antartica.

Suite Life on Deck

I was reading this article about the 2007 writers strike and it mentions all the writers who have not continued writing. It mentions Danny Kallis as the writer of "Suite Life on Deck" (it's in the third column, 17th from the top). I assume this is the spin-off series, which gives us evidence that it is in fact in production but the writing has been halted. 24.6.138.127 (talk) 19:07, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is not an article, it is an ad. It is a list of show runners. All it does is mention the name Danny Kallis and Suite Life on Deck. That is all. It is reading too much into that to count as evidence of anything. They could be doing a pilot on spec, we don't know what is going on and anything we say is pure speculation. --NrDg 19:14, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There seems to be a growing amount of info on this on the web - I have added a small section that shows that it is not certain and cites a couple of references Matt Beard (talk) 09:46, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I checked the references you used. http://www.disneyfanclub.org/blog/disney-fan-club-team/afterlife-for-suite-life does not meet the WP:RS reliable source criteria as it is repeating speculation on a fan site. http://disneyenquirer.com/NewsArticle-716 is accurate and supports that Disney was planning a show with that name but by itself is not conclusive of it actually happening or that a pilot was shot. I don't think this information can be supported as being in the article with those references. I think the most we can say is that Disney considered a spin off but we can't say anything more on what the future plans for it are.--NrDg 18:03, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's really tricky - there is a lot of speculation about this and it seems to be what is occupying fans at the moment. I think that there needs to be a way to report that there is speculation without implying that it is fact. I had hoped that my new section was a way to do that. Matt Beard (talk) 09:49, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'd suggest removing the section completely. It is not really needed for an article about this show and with the slightly dubious references not really well supported. It is referenced so I won't remove it myself. Let's see if there are other inputs from other editors. --NrDg 16:16, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Remove it I say. It's nothing but speculation and OR. Even the site that lists the domains isn't sure what the name is supposed to be used for. Even if it is in the planning stages it violates WP:CRYSTAL. I say toss the section until more info is avaliable. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 22:19, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
They have held auditions so it is a little more than speculation Matt Beard (talk) 10:15, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That page doesn't confirm anything. It doesn't tell you whether it is in deed a TSL spinoff or another show all together. Doesn't even mention Disney. It's still speculation. Wait till Disney decides to release some information about it before you try and add a section on it. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 22:48, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the casting is being done by Brandi Brice (casting assistant on TSL) and Dana Gergely (casting assistant on So Raven) so it is very likely! Matt Beard (talk) 11:19, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That proves that there will probably be at least a pilot. I'd still err on the side of waiting for definite word as to the series actually being picked up before saying anything else. WAVY 10 Fan (talk) 15:31, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removed Goofs section

I've removed the Goofs section because the information seemed to serve very little purpose. If someone feels it necessary to readd it it'd be better if it were in the List of the show's episodes rather than on the main article. - Throw (talk) 02:25, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions

I have a few suggestions to improve the article was wondering what everyone thought;

  • Move DVD info over to the page about for the episodes. It would shorten this page a bit and make more sense to have it on the page with the episodes. OR combine it to the page about the books and make a generic page about all media related to TSL. Would cut down on the amount of pages, we could combine DVD, books and games all into a single organized page.
  • Trim the settings section. We don't really need every single place that the series took place. The only ones we really need to list are the places that have occurred in more than a single episode.
  • Trim the table of minor characters. Every single character doesn't need to be listed, it just takes up space. We only really need to list characters who have appeared in more than one episode.

What do you guys think? --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 01:24, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List of episodes should stay as just a list of episodes. I suggest just leaving the organization as is for now with respect to the DVDs, books and games. The two trims look to be OK to me but might be contentious with others. --NrDg 01:34, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Just to give you an idea of what I meant by a list of media, check out Charmed multimedia. If we did something like that for TSL, we'd save space on the main article, and cut down on the amount of stub articles. And the reason I suggested the trim, was that currently the info on characters and setting borders on fansite material. Would be nice if the setting section had some info on the set too, but I don't really know where we could get information on that for a DCOS. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 01:42, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like a good idea as per the Charmed example. The trim is fine, the more the better in my opinion and I agree with your reasons. --NrDg 02:34, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I got bored and created an example of what the multimedia page would look like at User:Malevious/sandbox. If we used that it would cut down on the amount of info on the main page and get rid of 4 really small stub articles. I had to remove the picture though, because if we create the page we'd have to remove them anyway as they'd be considered "decorative" just like all the other pages had to remove the images of their DVDs. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 18:31, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The page looks good. --NrDg 19:12, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sarah Johnson

A recent edit claimed that there is a character Sarah Johnson, played by Jamie Lynn Spears. This edit was made during a spate of vandalism by an unregistered user. I don't know this show, but imdb does not list the character. Any ideas? Matt Beard (talk) 23:15, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is no character and considering the whole Jamie Lynn pregnancy stink, if there was a character, I could guarantee that they would not bring her back if TSL was still in production. WAVY 10 Fan (talk) 15:31, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions From Another Person

1) So very, very many typos.

2) Maybe the character info can go into their own page? This is about the show, not about London...yes, London is a part of the show but you see what I mean.

3) Any London page can have the bit of how she forgot she can swim.

4) Is Suite Deck going to be real or not or what?

Lots42 (talk) 11:30, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Concerning #2; there is a main character page for all mains because the characters failed individual notability tests and were merged here. WAVY 10 Fan (talk) 13:59, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Too long

This article is way too long. I suggest a major reduction to the main characters section. As well as a separate page for the DVD section. Fighting for Justice (talk) 08:34, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Considering there is already a main character sub-page for the show's characters, why have them mentioned in the main article? WAVY 10 Fan (talk) 16:38, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
