"Cat Scratch Fever" is a rock song by Ted Nugent that appears on the album of the same name. The song is well known for its signature riff, which is a 3-tone "blues scale" melody harmonized in parallel thirds, and it has pickup notes as well. The pattern goes like this: A-B-C-C-A-B-C-E-G-G#-A-B-C-C-C-B-A. The song is also the theme song for the San Jose SaberCats, and the lyrics have something to do with getting infected with a disease from cats.
