Miss Jones is the stage name of Tarsha Nicole Jones, the former host of Miss Jones in the Morning on the New York City radio station, Hot 97.

Background

Jones graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York City then went on to Syracuse University where she graduated with a B.A. in Music. [1]

Indian Ocean earthquake controversy

On January 18, 2005, Jones twice aired the song “USA for Indonesia”, a controversial song ridiculing the victims of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake, less than a month after the natural disaster killed nearly 300,000 people. [2] [3] [4] [5][6]
