Smosh is a comedy duo, comprised of Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox, from Carmichael, California,[3] known for their writing, filming, acting, and editing of skits and music videos. The duo is currently the 3rd most subscribed of all of YouTube behind Fred and Nigahiga (Smosh formally was #1 most subscribed before they were passed by Fred and Nigahiga). They have made a variety of videos, ranging from contest, to music videos, to series. Their video "Smosh Short 2: Stranded" won the 2006 YouTube Award for Best Comedy.[4]

As of December 12, 2008, the duo has released a total of 62 videos, with the most recent video being "Smosh Snatchers".
