Sean A. Day (user:daysa)

I am an anthropologist and linguist who is also a multiple synesthete. Most of my research concerns cross-cultural comparisons of synesthesia and synesthetic art forms; I have also done research regarding cross-linguistics trends in synesthetic metaphors and in synesthetically colored graphemes and phonemes. I received my Ph.D. from Purdue University.

In 1993, I founded the Synesthesia ListTM, a monitored international e-mail forum for synesthetes, synesthesia researchers, and those interested in related topics.

I am a founding member of the American Synesthesia Association, and its current President. I have also helped organize several conferences and symposia on topics relating to synesthesia.

More information regarding synesthesia may be found at my website.
