Smoking pot

Should we maybe mention in the article that she has been seen smoking pot before? Here is the source: http://www.wpix.com/wpix-photogallery-11121,0,878067.photogallery

I mean, she is famous for staring in a kids film (Twilight) so I would excpect to be something to put down. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cwray27 (talk

contribs) 04:24, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm, well, read several other articles of actresses. They NEVER mention if or what they smoke. And just ot let you know, I wouldn't categorize Twilight as a "kid's" film. I mean, some kids watch Twilight, but it's more for teens AND adults. Tweedle20 (talk) 18:04, 16 June 2009 (UTC)Tweedle20[reply]

Thats where your wrong the movie was made for kids though Twilight Saga:Breaking Dawn will need to be watched with parentles,if remember there are so many things of Twilight FOR kids, but most adults just give it a miss or say yeah it was alright though well kids say IT rocked i loved Twilight well see the difference.Hmmmmm....They do not make it for teens and adults it was mainly made for kids and teens u to the age of about 15 or ta 17.Not NOT FOR KIDS YES ITS 4 KIDS KAY —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.169.204.145 (talk) 02:39, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay So, I'd just like to say that, the person whom said Twilight was a Kids Film... Is a complete Idiot. It's a teen novel. no KIDS would have the patience or the vocabulary skills to read such books. but Yeah Anyways... I hate Kristen Stewart, She's a completely Horrible actress whom smokes pot and needs to be arrested. :) Just thought i'd have MY say in it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.116.116.27 (talk) 19:44, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, you're the idiot. The books are not such high tier material that children can't read them with a respectable level of comprehension, and in fact the series receives much of its fame from the market of girls 10-13. In other words, kids.66.57.20.114 (talk) 17:10, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Birth place

Ancestry.com lists Kristen Jaymes Stewart as born April 9, 1990 in Los Angeles, California. This certainly makes sense considering her father was working there at the time. I'm sure all these websites - and none of them are first hand or particularly reliable sources - just assumed she was born in Colorado (notice they don't mention a specific city) because she must have said she grew up there. JackO'Lantern 05:50, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This says the opposite: born in Colorado, raised in LA. Hmm. Buchanan-Hermit™..SCREAM!!!.... 05:59, 12 April 2006 (UTC)javascript:insertTags('--Scotsworth 13:11, 13 April 2006 (UTC)',,)[reply]
Yes, but that's another source that isn't first - hand. I couldn't find anything from Stewat's own mouth - like an interview or something she was personally involved in - where she mentions being born in Colorado. I think a strong hint that these websites assumed is that there is no specific birthplace mentioned, just state. Ancestry.com actually has the birth certificate - so you can imagine how improbable it is that it's wrong. It has certainly been helpful in the past in clearing up birthplace/date/name issues. JackO'Lantern 07:49, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps we should track her down and ask her ojavascript:insertTags('--Scotsworth 13:11, 13 April 2006 (UTC)',,)urselves, hehe. I work as a film extra part-time; I hope some day I'll be lucky enough to get called to one of her movies, and I can try asking (and hope they won't kick me off the set for bothering the stars), hehe. Buchanan-Hermit™..SCREAM!!!.... 08:14, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
LOL fair enough. I think it'll be reported in a good source (aside from Ancestry.com) eventually anyway. JackO'Lantern 08:28, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Everything I can find has her being born in Colorado...at last count 13 sites. I asked Google "Where was Kristen Jaymes Stewart born" and it said "Colorado." Why should we take one sites word over more than 15 other sites? And, for that matter, if all these sites were wrong, wouldn't Kristen's camp try to correct the issue? Just curious because so far only one site has her being born in LA, and that site is the one you cited. Wouldn't it make more sense for her to be raised in LA and not Colorado if her father was indeed working there? Why would she be born in LA and moved to Colorado if her father was still working in LA? --Scotsworth 06:46, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

Yes but it's not quantity, it's quality. As I said, none of these sites are first-hand - i.e. come from Stewart or have any contact with her. They're all info gathering sites, just like Wikipedia. I couldn't find anything like an interview or the like where she said she was born in Colorado. Ancestry.com is a geneology site, so obviously the birth certificates they have are more reliable. JackO'Lantern 06:50, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Makes sense, I hope she hurry's up and says it in an interview so we can stop wondering lol. --Scotsworth 13:11, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
And she has indeed said that she was born in LA [1] Mad Jack 07:34, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Name please?

Kristen Marie Stewart or Kristen Jaymes Stewart?

Jaymes, according to birth certificate. Who says Marie? Mad Jack 22:02, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Speakscreenshot.jpg

Image:Speakscreenshot.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:21, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Taken Care Of:

It has been taken care of, and you missed Panic Room, but I took care of that as well, Mr. Bot. --Scotsworth 11:05, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Image

Please someone change pic, this one is awful... And she rly looks terrific :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.139.157.7 (talk) 17:17, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree, I think she looks great in this pic. Besides if you want to replace it you'd need to find another free image of her and chances are it wouldn't be as good. For An Angel (talk) 16:20, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Have fixed with better pic. Goggils (talk) 15:30, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have reverted back to the other picture. Fair Use pictures are not llowed to be used for living people. It is possible to get a free picture, and in fact there is a free picture to use, the one that has been in the article. Please only change the picture to another free picture. A new name 2008 (talk) 15:40, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Have changed to a new, free, picture. Goggils (talk) 18:26, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No. "Have changed" to non-existent image. And your calling it free or using phrase "no copyright violation intended" doesn't make it free. Ward3001 (talk) 18:49, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
And I have blocked this user for persistent breaches of image policy; it's not difficult to find their origins. If we have a free image, I will replace it. Rodhullandemu 18:58, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I changed her image because its not a recent picture and she looks a lot different now. The picture I added is licensed to be used, not copyright infringed, and is following terms of use thank you. - Dancelife450 July 29, 2009, 5:38 pm (UTC)

Best known for role in Twilight?

"She is perhaps best known for playing Bella Swan in the film Twilight". Twilight is not even out yet, is it actually possible for her to be best known for the Twilight role, or is this statement a bit subjective? Opinions? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Icy-snowflake (talkcontribs) 10:09, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

== Well, she is famous beCAUSE OF PLAYING Bella Swan, i know that the movie is not out, but she is only famouse because she is that character ==

Well, saying someone is "best known" for a certain role is almost always subjective... But considering the amount of media attention that Stewart is getting now because of Twilight, especially considering the movie isn't even out yet, leads me to believe that it's true. Andrea (talk) 14:31, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Seems like somebody else has already changed it, so never mind. =) Icy-snowflake (talk) 09:18, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well Duh! Of course she's best known for playing Bella Swan. Just like Robert Pattinson right now, is known for playing Edward Cullen. They're only being actually noticed because "Twilight" is really popular right now. I'm betting that "New Moon" is going to be big too.

Personal

I'd like to add as an interesting personal fact, that she is a vegetarian. It's definitely not a bad thing, as I am too, I just thought some people may like to know that type of information. The character Bella from Twilight in the book eats meat, so the director, Catherine Hardwicke, changed a few scenes to be considerate of Kristen's choice. She also doesn't eat meat in real life, or in films. Just an interesting tid-bit :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by PanicRoomObsession (talkcontribs) 23:43, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It only belongs if you can find a reliable source that says she is a vegetarian. If you can't produce any reliable sources the information does not belong whether it is a good or a bad thing. A new name 2008 (talk) 23:46, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

She also played one of the main roles in Catch that Kid. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Futurecullenmember211 (talkcontribs) 17:14, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well something personal about her is she broke up with Rob Pattinson,he is going out and kissing having a little too!much fun with Emilie De Ravin when they were at the beach Rob stuck his hand down her pants so she has gotton mad coz she broke up with a 3 yr relationship so she is really sad but is with some GOTH chick i PERSONALY think she is a strange ugly actress who should be replaced by Vanessa.H who played Gabriella in HSM.Rob would have some THen —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.169.204.145 (talk) 02:44, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think Kristen Stewart is playing Joan Jett in the film The Runaways, why doesn't it figure in the page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.7.122.170 (talk) 18:31, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have to read. It's in the article. Ward3001 (talk) 18:50, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

there is a wiki page for the runaways. under her filmography, why does the runaways have no link? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.94.120.130 (talk) 21:12, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Known for...

Hardly anyone knows the name Kristen Stewart before Twilight casting. This should at least be implied in the article. The second sentence of this article seems to say she is well-known for multiple roles. ONe can see this is a long list of un/little-known movies, except for The panic room (in which she was only a child) and Into the wild (in which she had a blatantly minor role). And why Wikipedia cannot be edited? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.0.36.190 (talk) 19:17, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In the least, this article needs to mention that Twilight is a turning point that marked her career, or at least fame, boost. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.0.36.190 (talk) 19:22, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You're confusing your understanding of when she became known with that of most other people. She reached fame in the very successful film, Panic Room, one of her earliest films and in which she had a major role. Ward3001 (talk) 19:28, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That film was well-known. The name Kristen Stewart was not. Does Wikipedia really believe at that this time two years ago the name "Kristen Stewart" alone was recognizable? 117.0.24.99 (talk) 11:33, 24 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Personal 3

Okay I call for Stewarts dating life to be only included in this artical if there are reliable sources (not including gossip magazines). There is NO proof in the aritcal that she has broken up with her boyfriend, and NO proof in the article she has started dating Robert Pattinson. I think that at most the aricle should say there are reports that she is dating Robert Pattinson, but no more than that. ~ DSQ 8/6/2009. 14:06

You are quite correct that everything should be reliably sourced, and that includes even "reports" that she is dating someone. This article has become a favorite target of editors who add every little tidbit of gossip they hear, providing absolutely no reliable sources. Ward3001 (talk) 13:42, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I'm pretty sure she IS dating Robert. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.187.171.11 (talk) 18:08, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, you should say that she has been linked to him. Michael's out of the picture, that should also be included. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.94.120.130 (talk) 07:01, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

When there is an article that SHE says that she has broken up with her former bf or that SHE says is dating RP then that can go up. Otherwise they are not reliable refrences, mearly reports. ~ DSQ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.41.28.60 (talk) 09:55, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your editing and threat

Hello Ward3001 I know that in demand celebrity bios are constantly defaced. If you check my history you might see the battles I endured within the Wiki organization trying to enforce the guidelines for it. The item I posted was relevant due to the graphic and NEWS reports about the issue. Agreed, I didn´t reference them at the time. But to threat me to be banned is a long call. I think this should be included. Reliable sources:

Huffington Post TMZ (photos and videos) and most recently Ciak and ANSA (Italian News Agencies)

If you think this is not relevant for a public figure we might discuss it. Worldnewsjunkie (talk) 04:33, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"The item I posted was relevant due to the graphic and NEWS reports about the issue": I never said that anything is irrelevant.
"Agreed, I didn´t reference them at the time": And that is the core of the problem. Wikipedia has a zero tolerance policy for adding unsourced or poorly sourced, defamatory information about a living person. It is a legal liability that could result in a lawsuit against Wikipedia. You clearly and unquivocally violated that policy. And providing a vague mention of a source on this talk page is not the proper way to cite a source. See WP:CITE. What you interpreted as "threat me to be banned" was a standard warning template for violating a very serious policy. And the warning still stands. If you add unsourced, defamatory information again, you will be blocked from editing. Read WP:BLP and WP:V before you describe something as a "long call". the runaways is in post production, and in the filmography section, it says it is filming. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.94.120.130 (talk) 20:31, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
