Damon Rochefort

Damon Rochefort was born in Cardiff, Wales on the 22nd February, 1965 to Barry and Kaye Rochefort.

He has had success in music in the 1990s with his band Nomad with the international hits "I Wanna Give you Devotion" and "Just a Groove", as well as writing and producing hits for Kim Wilde, Bad Boys Inc and Michelle Gayle. He is currently a script writer, starting with several episodes of Birds of a Feather, and is a staff writer for Coronation Street , writing over 80 episodes to 2008. He is currently developing a raft of shows for TV as well as writing several episodes of ITV's new Saturday night flagship musical drama Britannia High. He also wrote and presented his own chat show for BBC Wales, the BAFTA-nominated Damon Rochefort Tonight. He lives in London and Somerset.
