Where is the controversy? Can you provide any sources to back the claims of the text that you have added? I have removed the text from the article and place it below:
“
This poem is considered controversial by some, not because of the content, but because of divinity that some Muslims have associated with it. It implies that it is not sufficient to pray to Allah alone, but that by simply reciting this poem miracles can happen. This kind of thinking attributes divine power to the poem and distracts from the truth that at the end of the day power is with Allah. Some people people effectively worship the poem and that goes against the fundamental tenets of Islam.
The "so-called benefits" should be removed. There is no source for it.
Further: there is controversy directly related to the content, despite what Barastert has said. See http://www.islam-qa.com/en/ref/115502 as a starter reference, for instance.
English Title
Would it be OK to add or "Poem of the Cloak" to the opening line as this is how I was introduced to it and how in UK "english" circles I think it is more widely known?
Qaṣīdat al-Burda (Arabic: قصيدة البردة, "Poem of the Mantle" or "Poem of the Cloak")
