Global warming
The current version has the following sentence under "announcement":
- On August 17, 2011, Perry said that he belives that global warming hasn't been caused by humans and if he becomes president he will not support the United States spending money on things to help prevent global warming.
This has nothing to do with his announcement to run for President. It should go in a new section, with more statements describing his political views on various topics. The12thMan (talk) 18:58, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

Perry does not believe there is valid scientific proof of anthropogenic global warming. He has said several times that there is no scientific consensus on the issue.[183] In a September 7, 2007, speech to California Republicans, Perry said, "Virtually every day another scientist leaves the global warming bandwagon. ... But you won't read about that in the press because they have already invested in one side of the story."[184] Perry has stated that he feels that there are "a substantial number of scientists who have manipulated data so that they will have dollars rolling in to their projects".[185] Perry's views were criticized for their inaccuracy; surveys showed that more that 97% of climate scientists believed that global warming was anthropogenic.
