Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is the upcoming second studio album by Trinidadian-American hip hop artist Nicki Minaj, set to be released through Universal Republic Records, Young Money Entertainment, and Cash Money Records on April 3, 2012.[1][2] The album puts focus on the return of Roman Zolanski, one of Minaj's alter egos that was first featured on her 2010 debut album, Pink Friday. Much of the album's details thus far have been announced through the social networking website Twitter. It was originally set for release on February 14, 2012, though the revised release date was announced by Minaj in January 2012.

Two promotional singles[3] from the album have been released so far; "Roman in Moscow", was released to iTunes and the radio on December 2, 2011, and has received mixed reviews, while "Stupid Hoe" was released on December 20, 2011.[4]

Release

Cash Money co-CEO, Brian "Birdman" Williams announced to Billboard that Minaj was aiming for a first quarter release in 2012.[5]. In November 2011, Minaj announced on Twitter that the album would be released on February 14, 2012, and later in January 2012 she announced through Twitter that the album had been pushed back to April 3, 2012.

Singles

The album's first promotional single, "Roman in Moscow," was written by Nicki Minaj, and produced by StreetRunner, and Sarom. It was released to iTunes on December 2, 2011.[6] The song debuted at number sixty-four on the Billboard Hot 100.[7] The second promotional single is "Stupid Hoe", an electro hop, and happycore[8] song, released to iTunes on December 20, 2011 and produced by Diamond Kuts, credited as T. Dunham. It debuted at number 81 on the Billboard Hot 100. Its music video was released on January 20, 2012 on VEVO.

The album's first official single, "Va Va Voom," will impact Rhythmic and Top 40/Mainstream radio on February 14, 2012.[9][10]
