APPLE (stands for Ariane Passenger PayLoad Experiment), was an Indian Space Research Organisation satellite, lanched on June 19, 1981 by Ariane from Centre Spatial Guyanais near Kourou in French Guiana. It was India's first Geostationary communication satellite.
