Ferenc Deák (16 January 1922, Budapest - 18 April 1998, Budapest) was a Hungarian football player for teams such as Szentlőrinc SE, Ferencváros and Bp. Dózsa. During the football seasons of 1945-46, 1946–1947, and 1948–1949, he was the top scorer in all of European football playing for Szentlőrinc SE and Ferencváros in Hungary.
Deák was also the top goalscorer of the 1947 edition of the Balkan Cup which Hungary won.
Most goals in a season record
He is famous for holding the all-time record for scoring the most goals in a top-tier national league in Europe by scoring 66 goals (44 games total in the league) for Szentlőrinc in the 1945-46 season of Hungarian top-league, Nemzeti Bajnokság I.
