Illtyd (also spelled Illtud and, in corrupt English, Eltut, and, in Latin, Hildutus) (died mid-6th century), was a Welsh saint, founder and abbot of Llanilltud Fawr (Llantwit Major) in the Welsh county of Glamorgan. He was also said to have re-established the attached monastery school known as Cor Tewdws, after it had been destroyed. He was the first cousin of King Arthur, as his father was Arthur's uncle on his mother's sideCite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page). In the current Roman Catholic liturgical calendar for Wales,[1] he continues to be commemorated on the traditional date of November 6.
