Landrum Island
Appearance
Landrum Island (69°14′S 68°20′W / 69.233°S 68.333°W) is the southernmost of the three Bugge Islands in the south part of Marguerite Bay, Fallières Coast. Was called Isla Latorre by Chilean Antarctic Expedition, 1947 (Chile. DNH chart LIII, 1947). Later named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Betty J. Landrum, biologist, Smithsonian Oceanographic Sorting Center, 1965–89, serving as Director, 1973-78.
