Hi Ww2Censor, So you feel the usual practice in books and journal articles is sub-optimal? Acad Ronin (talk) 23:38, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia does not always follow the styles used in books and journals. It appears much more integrated to combine the Notes and Sources because many of the notes are derived from the sources, so integration seems more appropriate. There is nothing sub-optimal about the book and journal practice but by convention that is the way they do it. ww2censor (talk) 02:48, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please Go Ahead and delete it

Thank you for informing me of my images copyright status. It does not seem like I can find the info, so may you please delete it? Thank you for being a good Wikipedian.--InformationContributor11 (talk) 19:05, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Heroes Welcome UK

Hi, I just need a little clarification, some time ago Wikipedia suggested that I should try and link the Heroes Welcome Article to other relating and connecting wikipedia articles, and this is something I have been doing as and when an opportunity arises.(you can probably track these?) . Yesterday I added a section to the Mariah Mundi and the Midas Box article (it seemed the most appropriate way of adding the piece) headed inspiring communities. I believed this article to be very relevant bearing in mind the well reported association between the Mariah Mundi series of books and the Heroes Welcome story. I noticed this morning that this new section was removed by one of the originating writers who seem to go under the same name as the film production company. This action seems to go against the wikipedia principle, could you advice me? Many thanks Fwe506 (talk) 08:24, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The editor who removed your recent edits has been blocked for their conflict of interest. However, the way you introduced Heroes Welcome was too focused on the organisation and its fund raising. I would be more inclined to introduce the facts about the connection to the character being based on John Senior with a very short reference to the organisation and its funding by selling the books. Focus on the direct connection to the topic because details of where and how it is sold are just fluff and not informative, or relative, to that article. Remember less is often more. Perhaps there is other information available that could be added to a section about the characters. BTW, you should only sign the end of your posts and nowhere else, not in the header, as you did above, or in your edit summaries, as I see you have already admonished on your talk page. Hope that helps. Ask again if necessary. ww2censor (talk) 16:12, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
When I re read the article, you are quite right, a bit out of practice on wikiwriting so will do some work off line! I stand admonished on the signing off bit but its all so confusing! many thanks Fwe506 (talk) 16:40, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, it does take some time to get with it but even after 6+ years I find difficulty with some issues. No offense. Cheers ww2censor (talk) 16:49, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just for info, I have just re posted a modified addition as suggested and within 2 minutes it was removed by the originator , perhaps best to give up on this one! YoursFwe506 (talk) 17:50, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks your help and the point re the relationship to the Film is understood. RegardsFwe506 (talk) 09:04, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please will you look at my update on this talk page. Thankyou. Op47 (talk) 19:27, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What's OTRS? Please tell me I don't know. If I receive a mail from the Sheriff Department, is that enough to keep the picture? Nienk (talk) 15:24, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WP:OTRS and no you need to get the copyright holder to email the OTRS Team with their permission by having them follow the procedure found at WP:CONSENT. You may also find it useful to read my image copyright information page. Hope that all helps. ww2censor (talk) 15:55, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
