Hamster Racing is a sport in which hamsters are placed in hamster balls and race down a 9-meter (10 ft) course. The hamster crossing the finish line in the shortest amount of time wins.

Origins

Early at the turn of the 21st century, Britain fell victim to a spate of bovine encephelopathy (hoof and mouth) disease. This caused the cancellation of many horse racing events. Watching their profits shrink, betting agencies "invented" the concept of Professional Hamster Racing to augment their bookmaking incomes.
