Hi Tito, since you are the principal contributor, I am prepared to close the nomination if you think it is not ready. Graham Colm (talk) 15:27, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
Hi, It seems i have angered you in some sort, it was written in your talk page that it is now ready for nomination taking the clue , I had nominated it. I had not read FA criteria before about GA nominations ,removal of which, i did not question as i saw the criteria. Do not blame me of not contributing anything to article, not am i claiming that i am making the FA myself please have a look at the FA nomination page. and also go through the history page of the article . Please also remember it was your idea to make the article to be a FA on birthday of Swami Vivekananda , which i intended to support not vice versa. Do not take me negatively ,my actions may seems abrupt but have no intention of taking yours or any editors contributon away nor do i want anything of it. there are couple of other articles to which i need your supports to atleast make it a GA (e.g Sri Aurobindo) Shrikanthv (talk) 15:32, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
- I have replied here. Correct Knowledge«৳alk» 15:39, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
- I just saw the edit counts , it seems you have done more than 70% of the work , apologise on submitting it to FA , I guess it should have been you doing it. please also note my intent was not of taking away your hardwork but only to put the article come on its intended day. Do let me know if i can really balance this trouble out for you in anyway. Shrikanthv (talk) 07:01, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
- Hey Tito, sorry about this mess. I'm at least partly to blame; due to time constraints I gave Shrikanthv a very cursory review on my talkpage before going on holiday (just got back today), in which I suggested that the nomination would need to be made soon in order to get it passed by the 12th - I assumed that he'd follow the usual FA conventions and procedures and so didn't spell them out, but clearly I should have done so. Apologies all round; hopefully we haven't scuppered the article's chances at FA. Yunshui 雲水 08:48, 31 December 2012 (UTC)

DYK for Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan
On 23 December 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan, a 2012 Indian animated film, was a surprise success at the box office? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Questions - Can I ask for some help here?
2- The article 2012 Delhi gang rape case does meet the DYK standards for qualification; but being a sensitive topic, I am not sure if it will be prudent to nominate it. Should I? (Something just tells me I shouldnt but I am not sure if so). Can you advise on what to do? TheOriginalSoni (talk) 13:04, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- 2) Delhi incidence, YES, I was going to create the same article. You people beat me by few hours. The protest before President's house should be in hook, not the incidence. Go ahead with it as soon as you can.
- Other replies following after saving the article I am creating now! --Tito Dutta (talk) 13:08, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- Fair point. I forgot that we can have the protest as the hook.
- Its rather become quite a good article now IMO too :) TheOriginalSoni (talk) 13:12, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- Nominate for DYK (or wanna try WP:INT)? I don't want to highlight such incidence in hook, because I have seen people have tremendous interests in these kind of incidences.. from a recent Times of India article "Rape is a visual fun for many people", that's why I told not to highlight the incidence but the protest in hook. I'll ask RShrikanth to have a look! --Tito Dutta (talk) 13:16, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- Whichever suits better.I personally prefer ITN but am not sure whether it might get accepted or not. Have created a DYK nomination anyways.
- Thats the sort of thing that was concerning me too. I was thinking more like it might be disturbing to read something like that on the front page. TheOriginalSoni (talk) 13:22, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- Try WP:ITN and mention protest before President's residence, nation wide protest, police' tear gas,, water canon charge etc! --Tito Dutta (talk) 13:27, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- Done. Please change as necessary. TheOriginalSoni (talk) 13:44, 23 December 2012 (UTC)

1- The article on 2012 ROC has been referenced now. Please check and tell if there is anything else majorly that needs to be done. I shall also try to see where it can be improved. 3- I am trying to get the article Sky City to GA or FA. I have also submitted it for PR but apart from some comments (all of which have been addressed), there is no proper review. Can you please look through the article once; and tell me what standard it currently lies around. Thanks [Please reply here itself, but leave a talkback on my page.] TheOriginalSoni (talk) 13:04, 23 December 2012 (UTC)

- Did you know... HD 179821, a supergiant giant star of Aquila constellation is supernova candidate? Creating article on star is a hair pulling time! --Tito Dutta (talk) 14:09, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry but I am not that good with references. Can you just add all the proper references you can find, and I shall try to extrapolate whatever information is present there. Currently the article seems way out of place for any reader. TheOriginalSoni (talk) 14:53, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- Okay! I have added 4 references (there were 5, I have removed one since it was a Google Books reference and it is good to cite scholarly journals when you have it in hand) in the article. All are journal articles (as I have said), and you have much much more information there than what you need. Please click on the links in reference section to read and see if you can "extrapolate" something there! Note To keep things easy I have used article title as "ref name", so just click on "Named ref" and add from there! (or just leave, I'll ads named refs). 500 to 600 characters more and it is good to go in DYK --Tito Dutta (talk) 15:06, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- This is most certainly getting out of hand! These journals are all just speculations, and so its very confusing on whats the actual/newest condition of the star. Please add a year beside the Journal reference too, as it becomes confusing otherwise as to which happened latest. TheOriginalSoni (talk) 15:09, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- I am using DOI fill (not filling manually)! Well, you know cite book's "ISBN fill" (you type the ISBN and it autofills)? In cite journal DOI autofill is similar! I thought of avoiding the speculations and basic observations only what we did for NML Cygni, the largest known star in the univers (which was a DYK too)
- About this edit it is already there in first paragraph The star has several unusual properties and created considerable interest.. so, delete that "object of interest" portion, and lead is fine for now, observations etc needs expansion... Spectral class, nebular structure and its supernova candidature. If you want to expand the infobox, here is the model infobox.
- Yes, I know, creating a star article is a pain and is a very difficult task, but challenging too! The most difficult part is creating a full length infobox! --Tito Dutta (talk) 15:17, 23 December 2012 (UTC)

Sarkar/Anandamurti's books
Hello Tito. I'm still going ahead with the articles on Sarkar/Anandamurti's books. Following your advice I've inserted the "Infobox book" template and the cover page's images (low resolution) of the books on all the articles. As you can see many of them contain only basic informations. When all the red links will become blue ones on the Template:Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar, then I will try to expand the all articles with more detailed info. Thake a look when you can.--Cornelius383 (talk) 12:02, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

Frank Costanza: "Many Christmases ago, I went to buy a doll for my son. I reached for the last one they had, but so did another man. As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way." Cosmo Kramer: "What happened to the doll?" Frank Costanza: "It was destroyed. The names of Subash Chandra Bose's sisters
Tito sorry if disturb you not for an encyclopaedic reason but for an historical one. I'm trying to find the name of Netaji's brothers and sisters. Maybe you have this information, or you know a serious S.C. Bose's online biography. It's really impossible for me to find detailed information on his personal life on the internet and it's very strange... Abhidevananda reported on his talk that: "Baba's mother's maiden name was Abharani Bose. So if Subhash had a brother named Sarat Chandra and a sister named Abharani, then probably Subhash was indeed Baba's maternal uncle". Any idea?--Cornelius383 (talk) 12:31, 27 December 2012 (UTC)

Hi! Sorry for the late reply, was a bit busy in real life. Just saw the article about Rudra Mohammad Shahidullah, not much familiar with the topic. I've searched for Rudra Mela and so far learned that an annual fair was started in 1991 to commemorate the poet (must be referring to Rudra Mela). In 2005, Rudra sangshad organized its 12th edition at the Fine Arts Institute premises of Dhaka University. About the Rudra Smriti Sangsad, I don't think its a notable organization. calcuuta
I changed the name from calcuuta to kolkata.maybe at tha time it was calcutta, but does,nt that represent the culture of british india? We are now free, and so we can call it by the local name kolkata, which sounds more Indian.Ankush98 (talk) 10:05, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
- Calcutta was renamed after 2000. So, does that mean till 2000 we were under British culture and we suddenly changed then. No, it does not indicate so. --Tito Dutta (talk) 10:13, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
Then can you please tell me why was the name changed in 2000? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ankush98 (talk • contribs) 09:45, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
- Not 2000, it was 2001 or so after Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee became Chief Minister. You'll get some infomration in Kolkata article and in Google. That's not the question here! We don't work in Wikipedia on "I don't like" basis. Please don't change the name again. --Tito Dutta (talk) 14:34, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
Source is the victim herself
The changes were made after talking to Sonali Mukherjee and she has confirmed that no marriage proposal was ever made. This is gossip and it is on her request that the change was made. She herself cannot do so because of sight impairment. I spoke to her today while researching an article for Good News Tab.
Request you to revert to the changes I made.
Thanks
Ergo vertov (talk) 11:04, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
Source cited never talked to victim
Also, it seems that the information was picked up from the Wikipedia page (according to chronology).
The claim of the marriage proposal is hurting the victim's reputation and is being picked up by even more publications. She is already in talks with Mail Today to have this changed because there's no basis for the claim.
If you'd rather wait for this to be changed, I'd request you to park this and not publish this as of now. Give it a couple of days for the issue to be resolved with Mail Today (India Today Group).
She's currently focusing on her treatment and is living in Delhi. Nine more surgeries pending and more consultation pending fund availability will follow.

Disambiguation link notification for January 5
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Shiva, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gokarna (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, will you please use a proper ALT for the article List of awards and nominations received by Vidya Balan and please have a look through the whole page if you find a problem then fix it because i want to re-nominate it for FLC but i want an expert user get satisfied with the article for being nominated for FLC Greatuser (t@lk)My edits 14:17, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
Nationality
Yes, there was no such country called Bangladesh but you have to remember in mind that there was no such country which is called India, it was British India(you have been told already). So,you can't change nationality. Instead you can edit British Indian.(Mohd. Toukir Hamid (talk) 17:04, 5 January 2013 (UTC))
- Rigid answer and just trying to imitate my post without using own brain. I care much more for WP Bangladesh than you are. The two articles you are talking about I single handedly helped there to clear CCI and had to almost rewite those articles completely. Anyway, British Indian sounds good, I am also in favor of using it, but, please build a consensus first at WP Bangladeh and WP India! --Tito Dutta (talk) 17:14, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
Hi
As an editor I respect, would welcome your third-person eye on this delete, there are no doubt things that need improving, was half way when this user stormed in, but don't get the impression he's even read carefully what he deleted. Could you spare the time to give it a read, and if you pick up any errors or dubious add cn tags, many thanks. If you're too busy understood. In ictu oculi (talk) 00:20, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
- Excellent, that's exactly what I was in the middle of doing. Would you mind adding that comment to Talk page of article? If not I understand. Thanks. In ictu oculi (talk) 00:31, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
