About Me

  • I was born May 22, 1990 in the communities of Braeside and Woodlands in the city of Calgary, Alberta where I have been raised ever since. I graduated from Henry Wise Wood Senior High School in 2008.
  • I was introduced to music at a very young age. The Eagles came into my life at the age of 4 and I have seen them 7 times live since. When I started to play piano at the age of 6, I started listening to The Guess Who and Burton Cummings, who were great inspirations on Keyboards. I have now seen them, and or associated acts, live 4 times. My days of watching Full House introduced me to The Beach Boys. I remember in 2002, I had to choose between The Eagles at the Saddledome or The Beach Boys next door at the Corral. Needless to say, The Eagles were my first love, however, I have been fortunate enough to see The Beach Boys, and or associated acts, a whopping 11 times!
  • With that musical background, I was fortunate enough to be the musical director of a cover band that focused on The Eagles for a year and a half and The Beach Boys for 2. We were also fortunate to cover Great Big Sea for a short period of time as well. I do have a studio in my house, however, I couldn't write original music to save my life.
  • I have been very fortunate to have great relationships with Ibenez, my supplier all my acoustic instruments (6 strings, 12 strings, mandolins, banjos, bass), Casio, my supplier of all my keyboards, DW, my supplier of all my drums and percussion, and Epiphone, my supplier of all my electric instruments (guitars and bass) who have ultimately shaped my music career into what it is today.
  • Game Shows were a big part of my life growing up. I learned the alphabet and punctuation symbols from Wheel of Fortune, learned how to count from The Price Is Right, learned how to shop from Supermarket Sweep, how to act out words and phrases from Acting Crazy, the importance of knowing your spouse in a relationship from Love Handles, and of course, general knowledge from Jeopardy!
  • I am currently a Transit Operator and LRT motorman with Calgary Transit with high aspirations of becoming a Bus Operations Controller. I have driven over 450 Calgary Transit buses including GMC. MCI, New Flyer and Nova. I have also driven 127 regular revenue bus routes, over 55 school service routes and over 15 specials and charters for Calgary Transit
  • On the side, I have a very prosperous career in restaurants. I started at a local Boston Pizza as a scullery technician in July, 2005, working my way up to a kitchen technician in April, 2006 before taking over as Kitchen Operations Manager just 2 days after my High School Graduation in July, 2008. Shortly after that, I was sent to Boston Pizza International in Richmond, British Columbia to participate in the Kitchen Manager training program. I ended up meeting an up and coming franchisee from Grande Prairie who was looking to recruit someone from corporate operations to oversee his restaurants. He was impressed with my knowledge and passion I had towards the brand and days later, I was offered a position to work as the Director of Operations (Alberta/Kelowna) of Reynoldsco. Restaurant Group. Ironically, he and the name of the company shared my surname. I was responsible for regularly overseeing 6/17 RRG Boston Pizza Restaurants while operating my store on a full time basis. Rare occasions took me to Vancouver Island where RRG operated another 11 Boston Pizza stores. For nearly 3 years, I had to juggle working 44 hours at my Boston Pizza plus emailing, conference calling and visiting RRG stores on an as needed basis. I became a small share franchisee in April, 2010. In September, 2010, because of my close proximity to Balzac, I was named Director of Development, responsible for our groups bid for the Boston Pizza Store at Crossiron Mills. After 3 weeks of relentless negotiations, we were not able to come to terms with Ivanhoe Cambridge and Boston Pizza International. Shortly after that blow, after nearly 3 years of recording breaking profits, Reynoldsco. Restaurant Group decided to seize operations indefinately and rebrand. In October, 2012, they were back up at atom, as RRG inc, the restaurant and real estate specialists. I was interim director of operations and interim CEO until January 2013. Currently, RRG has 13 Boston pizzas, 7 Dennys restaurants and have connections with Dave and Busters. They also oversee 4 high rise condo developments in Vancouver and 1 in Calgary. As for me, I am invested in 7 Boston Pizzas still, 2 of them solely by me, however, overseen my RRG. 2 of those stores are currently top 10 in profit in western canada and 1 top 10 in overall sales. I was proud to be apart of the 2013 BPI leadership confrence for the 4th consecutive time.
  • I grew up Five-pin bowling. I won several house and zone championships competing as high as the provincial level. Unfortunately, my bowling career went down hill when puberty hit and eventually ended in 2010. I also spent 5 years playing Fastpitch softball where I was on 2 city championship teams, 2 city champion runner up teams and one provincial championship team. I played 1 year of Baseball before coaching for 2 years. In my teenage years, while trying to balance work and school, I played and refereed Roller hockey where i was a goaltender and recorded the lowest goals against average in the leagues short history. I also played 1 year of Ice Hockey where my role was quite bluntly a Goon and start a fight in the opening seconds of the game, sometimes, even before the puck is dropped. I had high aspirations in getting into Chuckwagon racing but due to my city slicker lifestyle and work-a-holic habits, I was unable to make that dream come true.
