Jewish?

This article has listed Gus Kahn as Jewish, or not, from time to time. The websites http://www.adherents.com/largecom/fam_jews.html and http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/biography/biosK.html and http://www.nndb.com/people/450/000205832/ do no list him as Jewish. His son died in 2008. Don't know how to contact the family. His gravestone is engraved w/ the Masonic emblem. He was born in a Rhein River town and 'Kahn' in German means 'river boat.' Oliver Kahn, the great German goalie and a gentile, was born in a nearby Rhein River town, for example. Can someone please provide some documentation? Gus Kahn is an American Jewish Songwriter! http://www.jewsinamerica.com/music.html He is not German like Oliver Kahn. "Kahn" is also a famous jewish Surname. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.246.203.62 (talk) 20:37, 8 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
