A bishonen—pretty boy—is a concept common in Japanese popular culture, and as such doesn't fit me at all. It's confusing because I'm female, for one thing. I'm sorry to say I sometimes go by "Bishzilla", on IRC, for my growing tendency to scold, yell at people, and destroy Tokyo. I picked "Bishonen" for the sound and because of Momus' song, and personal associations like that. OK, it was silly, but I still like it.

Alternative spellings: bishōnen, bishounen. Kanji spelling: 美少年.
