The University of South Florida Polytechnic was a branch location of the University of South Florida from 1988 through Fall 2012, offering upper level courses and majors to student who had completed, or had the equivalent credits for an associate degree [1] The new university in Lakeland, Florida Polytechnic University, does not have an affiliation with the University of South Florida, nor is it the new name for USF Poly.
The University of South Florida continued to teach classes (Teach Out) in the Lakeland location, until the majority of students completed their coursework[2]
