Since his discharge from hospital, John Hancock (Will Smith) has a mystery to solve: what happened before it. However, he forgets it and keeps moving forward, saving people and stopping crime, therefore he's a super-hero. The Los Angeles city's population doesn't like Hancock because he treats them stupidly.
In a day, the super-hero salves Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman) who thanks him so much. They both become friends, and Ray helps to make better Hancock's image in the city. When Hancock meets wife's Ray, Mary Embrey (Charlize Theron), he sees that she is not strange. But, he doesn't remember where he has met her. And then, a new mystery appears. Does he really know her? Does she make part of Hancock's past?
The film begins with comedy, atracting the public, and after it takes face of action and drama. The positive point of film is the strong cast, Will Smith, Charlize Theron, Jason Bateman and Eddie Marsan. Charlize Theron has won Oscar as best actress in Monster, and Will Smith has been nominated for four Golden Globes, two Academy Awards, and has won multiple Grammys. I think the negative point is the prejudiced treatment that people have with Hancock as much with other super-hero. It must be because of Hancock's way.
The director (Peter Berg) has made this film for all type of public. Although the film is produced recently, it is getting a large audience.
