This makes no sense
When Goldberg returned to WCW in April 2001, his tenure did not last as long, as WCW was bought by the WWF in March
There WASN'T a WCW for him to return to in April. It wasn't even a WWF faction by that point, and Goldberg wasn't involved in the Invasion. Something's not right there. -- Tromboneguy0186 (talk) 18:49, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- I pointed that out to the editor who added it, but they haven't clarified what they meant yet. TJ Spyke 20:42, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
- I fixed it (the editor)--TrUcO9311 (talk) 16:21, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
- No, you didn't fix it. Vague terms like "early in 2001" doesn't make sense if the first event was in January (early in the year too).
- Furthermore, "as WCW was bought" implies that his tenure was short because of that. Evidence?
- Speaking of evidence. The source you linked to has this to say:
- I fixed it (the editor)--TrUcO9311 (talk) 16:21, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Goldberg did not return in the last few months of the Turner-run WCW, and was barely mentioned in the final Season Finale in March '01. For the next year, Goldberg sat on his WCW contract, letting it continue to pay him rather than taking a pay cut for the WWF to buy it out. For a time, it appeared that Goldberg would never again grace the wrestling rings, that his time had passed. But in the summer of 2002, Goldberg made his return, surprisingly going overseas to All Japan Pro Wrestling. In his many matches in Japan, Goldberg has remained the dominating force, destroying multiple worthy opponents. Of course, whether he will return to wrestle in the United States, and in particular Vince McMahon, is completely unknown at this time.
- So the source says the complete opposite. I am also not sure how relevant Goldberg's return or lack thereof is to this PPV's article. Str1977 (talk) 08:40, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
Picture Issue
Why is the picture of Mysterio masked? Mysterio wasn't wearing his mask during this period. Does anyone have a good unmasked picture that's more era-appropriate? 4.225.31.52 (talk) 05:25, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
the # 17 source does NOT back up the claim
I just read everything there and nothing there supports what was stated . Sid broke his leg at a Nitro event , NOT at this PPV . The clip is on YouTube and I watched it live .
