Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by RobinHood70 (talk | contribs) at 00:10, 7 February 2018 (→‎Jacob_Teitelbaum: Reply to both). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

Welcome. Please note that this page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.

Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions or rejected Articles for creation drafts), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied, restored as a draft or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided at all.

This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles or files which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions in the template or on your talk page. Please do not request that articles deleted under speedy deletion criteria A7, G4, G5 or G11 be undeleted here.

Note that requests for undeletion are not a replacement for deletion review. If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly. If you discuss but are unable to resolve the issue on their talk page, it should be raised at Wikipedia:Deletion review, rather than here.

@Rasal Lia: Done – as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored upon request. I have restored Hard Core Sergeants and not Heardcore of Sergeants which doesn't exist (it existed with a capital 'Of' but that one is ineligible for restoration). ~Anachronist (talk) 01:15, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
But now we must ask user:Amortias why it was deleted with G4, and what deletion discussion is applicable? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 02:15, 23 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I'd need to check to see what I viewed around that time to have confirmed it met G4. I'm unlikely to be able to do that for a couple of days and am loathed to try to use the tools from a smartphone so if anyone wants to restore it till I can find what I'm after that would seem best. Amortias (T)(C) 06:55, 23 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I have restored it so that anyone can check if g4 applies or not. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 11:03, 23 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Velibre is at the forefront of a dynamic change in the coffee capsule industry. This industry creates 75 000 tonnes of waste each year in plastic and aluminium. None of what you wrote has anything to do with notability as Wikipedia defines it for companies. See WP:CORP. Therefore...
Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Velibre GmbH, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user MBisanz (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. ~Anachronist (talk) 15:50, 30 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information and original page on American actor and musician needs to be restored!

When you type in “Cody Longo” it re directs to “Hollywood heights” which is not current. Cody Longo needs a page for his name...not his show.

There was previously a whole page on this celebrity but it was either removed or deleted.

    Please restore page. Thanks!

The page was deleted almost 3 years ago for lack of coverage in reliable sources. Has that changed since then? Perhaps creating a draft (like at Draft:Cody Longo) would be a start. --Ebyabe talk - Border Town19:28, 30 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The page exists on other languages (https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAdmin, https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remote_Administrator, https://uk.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radmin) and was speedy deleted because the content was advertorial. I can rewrite the article in accordance with Wikipedia rules. The page was about Radmin remote control software - the project is being developing and has milions users wordwide. The official website: www.radmin.com. I can verify the content with independant product reviews, ratings and make it encyclopedic and neutral. —Happywren 18:49, 31 January 2018 (UTC)

    Draft:Jose Raymond

This draft was deleted based on G4 on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jose Raymond (2nd nomination), but these are two different people with the same name. The person in the draft does not appear to be notable, but that is a reason to decline the draft, not to delete the draft. Please restore the draft into draft space. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:05, 31 January 2018 (UTC) —Robert McClenon (talk) 20:05, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

    • Given that this was deleted under G4 you'll need to contact the deleting admin or use deletion review. While the draft was about a different person to the one deleted in the second AfD (the one you linked to) it was the same person as the article deleted in the first AfD and the text appears to be the same. Deleting drafts of articles deleted in mainspace under G4 is a little dubious though and you may be able to get it restored. Hut 8.5 21:05, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Interesting. So the first deleted person was the same. Okay. Robert McClenon (talk) 04:29, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

    We Leak Info

The original author has disowned this page and I wish to continue its creation. —Databreaches (talk) 16:01, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

My guess is that the user who wishes to "continue" this article is the same person who hacked my account to create it in the first place. There is probably some motive inspiring this person other than improving the encyclopedia. What reason would someone have to hack the account of someone like me, who has been an editor for just over 10 years, other than hoping that the article might somehow be subject to less scrutiny? In my opinion, any user that expresses a desire to re-create this article or make any of the edits that the hacker made in my name should be immediately blocked. I had to suffer such inconvenience and indignity. So, let such person prove that their intentions in making contributions here are noble. Taxman1913 (talk) 17:59, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The only contribution Databreaches has made to the entire encyclopedia is the above request for undeletion. S/he has the audacity to say that the "original author" has disowned the page. You, Databreaches, are the original author. Why don't you own up to what you did? Do you really expect people to believe that you suddenly created an account, and the first thing you noticed was a deleted article, and you innocently wish to continue its creation? You must think that the people here cannot put 2 and 2 together. I know that my tone departs from the decorum that is appropriate for Wikipedia, but you wasted my time yesterday, you wasted the time of There'sNoTime yesterday, and now you're wasting the time of more people. If you want to promote a commercial product, find another way. Wikipedia is not the place for that. Taxman1913 (talk) 18:17, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Not done and will not be done. Databreaches has been blocked as the likely perpetrator of the account breach. —DoRD (talk) 18:47, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

    raja sikandar sultan

{{subst:refund|1= Raja Sikandar Sultan |2= I belive that the article was deleted in a haphazard way without giving due consideration to the merits of the article. The page on Sikandar Sultan Raja should be added back as he is a federal secretary to the government of Pakistan equivalent to the secretary of any department in the USA or a permanent secretary to a particular department in the UK. If for example, they have their Wikipedia pages up then why delete Mr. Sultans? 5-6 federal secretaries pages are up from Pakistan, for example, Fawad Hassan Fawad, Rizwan Memon. Why is it that he was only singled out and deleted without giving through the process or the administrator himself seeing the merits of the article and importance on the site. This site is made to educate and help people in research and deleting such pages hinders the peoples right to information. It is clearly seen that some malafidey has happened to remove this page in a hurry by the person who nominated its deletion without citing proper reasons and even if this page remained up no harm was being done. List of Singapore MRT disruptions

Hello, the article "List of Singapore MRT disruptions ", previously at the URL https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Singapore_MRT_disruptions, has been deleted. It states "The article that you're looking for doesn't exist." The page's history only goes up to end Nov 2017, so I can't view the reason for deletion. The article is about an important event in Singaporean history, the city-state's 6 year long spell of rapid transit disruptions and related technical faults. —Qwspasot (talk) 13:15, 5 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Singapore MRT disruptions, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user TonyBallioni (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. ~Anachronist (talk) 16:38, 5 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Marvinwest: Declined pending further information. This was undeleted over six months ago with a pledge that it would be worked on, but no edits were made to improve the entry for resubmission. Articles for creation is not an indefinite hosting service for material found to be unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia's article mainspace. We may be willing to restore it again, but only if you provide a definite assurance that you actually intend to work on it and provide a short description of what you intend to do to improve it to meet our policies and guidelines. Please advise. ~Anachronist (talk) 16:41, 5 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

    Clifton Hill Community Music Centre

This collective was an important part of Melbourne and Australian post punk, experimental and electronic music history. It's mentioned in books and web page histories of this period. I didn't notice it had been deleted until I tried to link it from other artist pages. thanks —Kathodonnell (talk) 02:57, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

    Jacob_Teitelbaum

Cannot fathom Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum's Wiki bio being deleted. He is a popular speaker at medical conferences and a leader in numerous fields, including CFS, fibromyalgia, and autism. He is the author of many books, among them the best seller 'From Fatigued to Fantastic', considered the Bible of chronic fatigue syndrome. Could go on, but to keep it short: please restore his page, as deleting it from Wikipedia is silliness. Thank you. —ForeverBeach (talk) 17:14, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the notification. I'm now retired from WP, so I'll leave it to others to decide. My objections to the article in its last-known state are noted on the talk page, the main one being a very obvious SPIP issue. Robin Hood  (talk) 00:09, 7 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

    • Done – as an Articles for creation (AfC) submission deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored upon request. Please note that you never submitted the entry for review. When you are ready, you need to click on the button in the AfC submission template that says Submit your draft for review!. You will need more references to get this live.
