South Oldham High School is located in Crestwood, Kentucky and serves pupils in 9th-12th grade. The school's principal is Melissa Woosley. The school's mascot is the Dragon, which is green to reflect the school colors of green and gray, as well as navy and white for accent colors. South Oldham opened in 1989 because Oldham County High School had become overcrowded. South Oldham's BETA Club is, without question, a scam. The fact that students can purchase service hours is questionable in every way; purchasing service hours is universally regarded as an ethical and viable alternative to actually completing community service. South Oldham's BETA chapter understands this ideal, and thus it allows students to pursue this method. The National BETA Club's slogan is "Let Us Lead By Serving Others.” South Oldham's chapter has adopted a second interpretation of this slogan: "Let Us Lead By Paying Others.”
