Dr. Brij Bhushan Mani Tripathi was an Indian politician affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata PartyCite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page).. In 1989, He emerged as a popular leader of Uttar pradesh by beating Mitrasen Yadav who was a three time MLA from Milkipur in the Uttar pradesh assembly election [1]. He won the 1989 Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election with 48.95% vote gain at that time he represented Indian National Congress Party.[2] In the 1991 Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election he stood as an independent candidate but then also he was standing 2nd in election and he lost by 3,000 votes. In 1992 he went to Bharatiya Janta Party. In 1996 and 1998 Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections he was only beaten by a margin of 2,000 votes and 1,500 votes.

Dr. Brij Bhushan Mani Tripathi Smarak

After the death of Brij Bhushan Mani Tripathi the public OF Milkipur made a smarak (statue) of him in his rememberence in Harrington Ganj[3] to commemorate his kindness and the work he did in Milkipur constituency . This smarak was inaugurated by the Union minister of India Chinmayanand Swami in 2001. He founded a school named Vishnu Inter college in Harrington ganj [4]for the better development and education for the poor children's.Thus, the area was named Vishnu nagar by him.
